Pumpkin Dip with Cinnamon Chips

I made this last year for my family Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. I'm making it again this year for sure!

I made those cinnamon chips for my husband and I. WE ARE ADDICTED! It's so easy and cheap! We actually like making these a lot better than going and buying potato chips in the store. We made them with whole wheat tortillas though so they're healthier.

why do some recipes use cream cheese instead of sour cream? what difference would the two make in terms of sweetness and tartness/sourness? thanks!

neiher one is very sweet. It really is the consistency that you are looking for. Something that might be spread or is a little heavier/thicker would use cream cheese and something that is not as thick would use sour cream.

So I made this tonight, so good!! It got my mom, who HATES pumpkin and basically anything pumpkin scented or flavored, to enjoy pumpkin. It was way lighter than expected, and the flavor was excellent. Thank you!

I live in France too and it is soooo hard to find canned pumkin! ( for the fellow youtuber who posted 30 minutes ago, we can find plain pumkin puree at 'Picard' around Thanksgiving, which is the only alternative I've found) Not to mention cool whip...and THAT is trully impossible to find...

Anyway, yay for more pumkin recipes!

You can try without but I think it will be very heavy. The cool whip makes it light and fluffy.

Dream Whip is almost the same.

It's just that cool whip is already made and in the fridge. Cool Whip is the food of the gods, but Dream Whip will work ok.

they're generally just like any other chip, just be sure to keep them in a plastic bag or something aware from the open air. my family has been making them for years lol

i agree! although they have vegan sour cream and cream cheese that tastes just like the real thing, and even soy whipped cream which is delicious! you can totally make this recepie vegan friendly :)

yes, vegan/vegetarian products have gotten really great and realistic and I'm very thankful for that :) It would be cool to see other stuff though! I'm personally vegetarian, but I recently learned that I'm lactose intolerant so my diet has become semi-vegan and I'm new to learning vegan recipes... especially for desserts!
