Jesus is talking about the holy spirit, not a prophet, like he did two chapters before in John 14:15-18. Read that and ask whether that is Muhammad. It's obvious that it isn't because Jesus said it was invisible "it neither sees him nor knows him" and also "he lives with you and will be in you." In John 16 which you mentioned Jesus said that he will send him to you. How would Jesus send Muhammad unless he is divine? So this would refute your own position anyway. Muhammad is also not a spirit.

taano71. Islam shows that:-
1) when Muhammad died, there was no compiled qur'an.
2)The first compiled qur'an was written by Zaid bin Thabit for Abu Bkr.
3) Later Afsa got this qur'an.
4) When Uthman asked for Afsa's qur'an to be copied, Zaid remembered a verse which he had missed before- Surah 33:23.
So there have been at least 2 different qur'ans.

Zaid bin Thabit said, "When the Quran was compiled from various written manuscripts, one of the Verses of Surat Al-Ahzab was missing which I used to hear Allah's Apostle reciting. I could not find it except with Khuzaima bin Thabjt Al-Ansari, whose witness Allah's Apostle regarded as equal to the witness of two men. And the Verse was:-- "Among the believers are men who have been true to what they covenanted with Allah." (33.23)

When we wrote the Holy Quran, I missed one of the Verses of Surat-al-Ahzab which I used to hear Allah's Apostle reciting. Then we searched for it and found it with Khuzaima bin Thabit Al-Ansari. The Verse was:-
'Among the Believers .., Of them, some have fulfilled Their obligations to Allah (i.e. they have been Killed in Allah's Cause), And some of them are (still) waiting" (33.23) So we wrote this in its place in the Quran.
