  • Hey Bob, do you have Wenger 16999 Giant?

  • @BijuAale I don't own one. If you want to buy one I can get it for you....

  • @wwwknivestowncom I was just asking. That 24cm model is of no use.

  • @wwwknivestowncom hey bob Victorinox, Swiss Champ or cybertool

  • how in hell would you sharpen the knife???!!!

  • @oneeyewilly123 How the hell do you need to do to dull the blade ? I have one for 7 years and it is still sharp .And i use it to do everything : fishing , repairs , crafting .

  • My Swiss Army knife has a lawn mower, a pile driver and a Saturn V rocket, in case I want to go to the moon...!

  • can you please send me a personal message of the link to this knife

  • I have a question. I have that same knife but it doesn't have pliers. Why?

  • @Tanixification you have the "Champion Plus" Model.

  • Very nice review, professionally done.

  • No uve used it 4 33 things lol

  • how does this knife compare with the hercules as far as size and number of tools?

  • that's no use in the real world , victorinox is for sissies , u want a job done buy a skeletool

  • That's not a knife, that's a toolbox!

I just bought a victorinox pioneer which got aore useful awl I think I also have a Spartan two classics an escort and an bantam all victorinox I carry the bantam everyday since 2008 it was my first real knife

  • Ordered mine today and i join the british army in 41 days, cant wait wish me luck :)

  • @Mattymiller3 good luck pal

  • u could survive with nothing but that knife

  • what if the ink on the pen runs out? are there extras in the box or something?

  • @blandiness Refills are available from Victorinox.

  • Nice video, and nice explanation of all tools. Thanks.

  • It looks a little too wide to be functional. Did you notice the size of the knife getting in the way of handling the tools?

  • @techerik14 It is beefy, yes, but very functional. Go look at all the positive reviews on Amazon. People use it - and it gets the job done (note: I don't own it, but I don't think I've ever really heard anything negative about it).

    God bless!

  • How much is the victorinox champion 5012 worth ?

  • will it blend

  • My Swiss Champ just came in today! It's so cool! This knife is for sure going to be my most used

  • Can you post a link directly the knife i am having trouble finding it. Thinking about starting my knife collection again.

  • Just bought this brand new for $45.. I get a great discount at work :)

  • That's not a Swiss Army knife. Thats a standard Victorinox knife.

  • i have one exactly as this one but it also has a watch. i bought it in 1998

  • I've Ordered One Of These And I Can't Wait To Get It Any Ideas On What I Could Use It For?

  • Wow, heavy knife :-P In Switzerland we usually use smaller ones,

  • I have this knife for 20 years or so, looks pretty beat up, but still works perfect. Quality is awesome.

Soak in in WD40 every few years and it will last forever.

  • This is all what you need xD

  • i had a swiss cheese its not a nife but it hurts ha jk

  • Too many tools the fatness of it is a problem when your cutting the blade could turn

  • Would you recommend this for a Geologist, I'm thinking of going to the Alps as a Geologist again, and doing research. Thanks, by the way very, very good video for anyone who's thinking about buying.

  • @FienStudios I definitely think it would be good for that. The magnifying lens would come in handy, as would the knife blades and maybe the chisel. It would qualify as a decent tool to have in your kit with rock hammer and other items.

  • @wwwknivestowncom Thanks pal, It sounds great, I think I will get one. Can't wait to go back to the alps. Think I'll climb the Jungfrau succesfully this time :)

  • tht knife can do all ur house repairs!!!

  • holy crap ive never seen that btipe of swiss army knife

  • Just got one great for camping

  • Cute little knife

  • awesome model and a great review. probably going to upgrade to this one.

  • I thought it will never end...

  • I think that these larger knives are really cool but there is one thing about them that bothers me. Tools that r on the edge would be weird to use cuz they're so off centered.

  • i got a swiss army knife a mini one plz check it out

  • is it true that this thing in zero war ?

  • everything but a led light

  • i got a swiss knife with the water opiner and the other last

  • Woah! that is so cool! my dad has one that has 9 tools and i thought that was a lot. 33 TOOLS! oh my gosh!! Your about to make me spend a lot of money my friend haha. Great Review!!!

  • how much was the swisschamp? i got a smaller, simpler one and im very interested in this product

  • @ivanlarsen It was about $54 when I was selling it.

  • @wwwknivestowncom mm yeah, it is your best bang for your buck...i have a more basic one, but i carry it on my keychain so its more practical...i feel the swisschamp would be ideal for going camping and similar outdoor activities...thank you for the information

  • I find my swiss army knife as usefull as you think urs is

  • if you but this does it come with a case?

  • @bammargeraskate96 No case, it comes in the box as I showed.

  • Is this the weapon which prevented invasion by the Soviet Union?

  • i have a question i have one of those cheap knock off brand swiss knives and after using the tools a couple of times they start to get loose does this happen with this brand please reply or send me email

    great review by the way

  • @poorkiller10 It definitely does not happen with a real SAK. Victorinox makes a nice pocket knife and for the money really packs in a lot of value. The knock offs are made just good enough to mimic an SAK while looking at it in the store but once you have bought it and start using it the real differences begin to show.

  • My fav is still the good old swiss tool. There is almost nothing you cant do with it :)

  • swiss army knife is the best

  • Gosh i want that soo much!! but do you have any smaller versions? that looks too big for my pocket

  • @XxServalcat24xX For pocket carry I would recommend the Craftsman model. Check out my vid on that one.

  • 3:16 It can also be used as a fishing rod.

  • ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME. I have a swiss knife and can do just about everything that you can do with that one. It has a large blade a small blade, srewdriver of both types and thats it. SUCK IT

  • @redheadfisher17 So in other words you cant cut with scissors, you cant saw, you cant file, you cant open cans, you cant magnify, you cant use pliers, you cant ream, you cant write, etc.... Oh, OK.

  • Swiss Champ is a good survival tool, though it is slightly heavy. Metal saw will help to cut metal stuffs, lens will help to start fire, pen will help to make emgncy notes (great, it was a space pen), not to forget the wood sw and fish scalr.

Only wish the the knife was partially serrated, and it had one handed opening(BTW, one handed opening is found only on 111 mm tools). An addition of LED light and glass cutter would be awesome.

My be a lock pick too.. OMG!

  • I'm stuck between getting this and the Victorinox Hercules. They both seem to be a bit bigger than usual Victorinox SAK. On amazon this is actually the cheaper knife but it looks a bit thicker.

  • *looks at swiss champ*

    "you call this a knife?"

  • @floxysify Not sure if you've read my comment yet, mate, but just wanted to let you know: This is in the U.S.; I noticed you were from Belgium. Might not work out, then. :-\

    God bless.

  • A wise man once said "tools don't fix things, men who know how to use tools fix things". That very same man also said "A Man without tools is not a man at all" ironically that man died by a tablesaw accident. Just kidding he got caught on fire, fell out of a window, and got hit by a bus.

  • If MacGyver had this knife, he would beat Chuck Norris...

  • hey i have a swiss army knife it has you know the knife thoot pick some littel metal thing on the other side i think its to take out somthing on youre finger can opener littel knife screw driver some 2 0r 3 other tools what knife is it its like the one you have but thiner same brand but what is miine victorniz but what is it called plz awnser

  • its actually cheaper to buy all those tools and keep it in a pencil case. but then again, you cant put all tools in your pocket.

  • hey, i am planing on buying a victorinox for my edc as i am a joiner so many of the tools will be useful, but i am torn between this and the huntsman. The only thing stopping me from buying this is that i am unsure if it will be too much to carry round. could you plz help!

  • @SMacca3103 There is no doubt the SwissChamp is a handful. It is too much for regular jeans pocket or slacks, but if wearing utility coveralls or something Carhartt with deep pockets it would work. Maybe could be kept in the cargo pocket of cargo pants. I believe there is a sheath that can be had for it. I would recommend checking out the SwissTool RS also before making your selection. That is what I carry now and it is even better than the SwissChamp. Good luck in your decision!

  • @wwwknivestowncom I usually have a coat or jacket on or atleast my tool belt so fitting it in a pocket wont be a problem. That rs looks like a great tool although i can not have it as i live in the uk and locking blades are illegal over here. I was looking for something i can attach to my keys as i always have my keys with me but i never wear a belt so i couldn't use a sheath. I go fishing quite a lot so these type of tools are more useful to

  • @SMacca3103 Sorry to hear of your onerous and restrictive legal environment. When a multi tool is considered an unsafe weapon you know you have hit rock bottom. Given this sad state, I would then recommend the Swiss Champ. It does not have any lock as it is a slip joint knife, however the back springs are nice and tight and hold the implements open quite firmly. Get the Swiss Champ while you still can. Who knows what the politicians will do next. :(

  • i like how u give us tips how u can use the tools! =)

  • outdoor wise have a huge selection

  • does anyone know of a good one with a saw on it and a good sharp blade, these are the two main functions im looking for

  • @Eric101point101 The Swiss Champ has both those tools. The Swiss Tool RS has them too.

  • @Eric101point101 check out the Victorinox Hiker. It's basically a Tinker with a Woodsaw. That's 91mm (the quintissential Victorinox size. If you want the biggest size (111mm)... i suggest a Trekker.

  • i have that one

  • too fat

  • I think the Swiss champ is the best other than the wenger it has 87 tools on it I mean 87 tools it has a mini toolbox on the side of it

  • I'm from England and go shooting and hunting love the british woodland can you let me know if its good for thank you loved to vid nice detail

  • @MasSF2010 It would be great for that use. Once in your pocket you begin to find all kinds of uses and soon don't know how you got by without it.

  • it has a pen OMG this the best pen knife in the world.

I am going to get thee Hunts man because i am in a club/out doors adventous type

thing and on the 29th of April i think we are going camping

  • That fishing tool also doubles as a lock pick. I opened a safe with it.

  • I just wish Aron ralston had that chisel. :((

  • @0220beast I wish he had an axe.

  • hey is this a good knife for me i love camping and i love to make cool stuff and im not sure at all just plz tell me if this is good for me

  • @toxicyoyo14 It is good for you.

  • @toxicyoyo14 this is good for anyone dude, believe me (=

  • nice vedoe can u please make a review on the ranger model by victoinox

  • They should have made the ink in the pen black, Some forms etc.. Require black ink, A minor detail though. Also I think you meant 3 inches long, Not wide at around 1: 17 secs.

  • mabey a small paper holder but thats pushing it for me

  • i wish it also had a led light thats all though

  • maybe it's just me but,I can understand every tool on this knife but the toothpick, seriously WTF,I mean you use it one time then you're going to toss it right?,Whats the sense in that?.

  • @TDF090779 It's not useless...I used it twice in the past week. Granted, I've hardly ever used it before that; but, you never know when you might need one. If you lose it, you can order more for cheap.

    God bless.

  • excelent job , great review

  • i love the swiss army knifes !! and this swiss champ is the best

  • Maybe magnifying glass looks pointless at first but it is a great tool to start a fire in the middle of nowhere. That is if you have sun of course.

  • Wow perfect knife

  • Swiss products = Perfection

  • For those interested in this, make sure to buy the belt sheath for it, as it is a bit large and heavy for pocket carry. Think of it as a Leatherman, as one normally carries a Leatherman in a sheath as well. It's actually 2 ounces lighter than a Leatherman Wave , so carrying it in sheath is hardly noticeable.

  • A heck of a sandwich :P seems handy.

  • i personally have this knife, pen has run out of in and spring in siccors has broken however, best knife/multi tool i have ever used it is very handy for life saving prediciments like when we went fishing we relised we forgot a bottle opener for our beer luckly i had my knife :) anyways anyone that buys this knife will not be dissapointed :)

  • how much did it cost ?

  • i hav the Tinker and the smallest one. wat is the smallest one called?

  • EXCELLENT REVIEW: step-by-step, calm and, the most important, explicative. Thanks. ;)

  • I'd like to pick up something like this in the future.

  • Mine is missing the pin :(

  • In terms of belt carry, what category does it fit in?

Cause pocket carry is totally out of the question.

  • hey were can u buy that ? knife ur reviewing in this video

  • Cool tool, love Swiss Victorinoos~!!!! I think my favorite is Spartan. Have not really looked into other models. I think this model is very nice, but may be too fat / bulky ? (never held one in person). I also like Leatherman Charge Ti and Juice 2.

  • I have her

  • Hey, how much was it?

  • Very Helpful video! watched 5 before this that told me nothing, finally know what some of the tools are

  • i want iiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • hehe I have this one. I LOVE IT :D

  • 1# wenger the giant 2# swiss champ my opinion

  • isnt there one with a lazer pointer?

  • Great review!

    Great knife!

Bought one online like 5 minutes ago :P

    Got it really cheap, 30 euro's :D

Can't wait, it'l be here tomorrow if all goes well :D

  • I still say Leatherman for the win

  • i just love your reviews;D

  • @96Vebbis Thanks, glad you like them. :)

  • How do u use the can opener?

  • @Iamthewalrus3200 Watch my Swiss Army Super Tinker review. I demonstrate the can opener in that vid.

  • @Iamthewalrus3200 with your imagination

  • If this was in transformers we would all be dead in seconds..

  • Anyone know the name or have any information on the victor knife posted on my page please let me know thank you.

  • Nice vid bob, I've just ordered the Swiss army knife huntsman, they are very handy tools.

  • @henryhe12345678 they cost from 35-45 quid

  • what is the straight pin for?

  • @sleepytmk The straight pin could be used for a number of things: pinning two pieces of ripped clothing back together while out in the bush; as a needle to break an infected blister; to hold together something you're trying to sew, etc. Victorinox is ingenious in putting handy things like this in just one knife. The Champ is an awesome value and pound for pound the best survival knife you can carry.

  • I thought mine was the champ but mine also has another tool with 3 or 4 interchangable bits, phillips flat and torx bits?

  • @mindfck69 That would be the SwissChamp XLT.

  • Everybody should own a victorinox of some kind.

  • @GavsterBarnham i totally agree

  • thats the flagship knife

  • I haven't had a swiss army knife since I was a kid.. I started thinking they were gay. I suppose they're gay for defensive use, but for everything else.. I want one. Now.

  • thnx for the review!!! helped me a lot!!!

but isn't the Swiss Champ too think to be comfortably handled???

  • is it me or does the plastic cutout loook like a coffin?

  • Hi! You make great reviews! I want ask You what you prefer - victorinox or leatherman multitool? whats better you think? Take care!

  • Mcgyver has one

  • Lovely knife.

  • Does anyone know if there is any weight limit for the hook?

  • lol forget geting a tool box with a lot of tools just get a swiss army knife

  • Very good presentation. I have a Swiss Champ and I love it. I was going through it this morning and wanted to know what some of the functions were and your descriptions were wonderful. Thank you for posting.

  • i live in swiss and you can buy one at every shop or at every gasstation.

this model costs between 15 and 25 dollars (converted).

on the offical victorinox-website, you could mix your own tools and a engraving.

    sorry for my bad english...

  • how much did that cost?

  • Thank you so much for this vid! Helped me a lot in my decision. Ordered one today! One thing is not yet clear to me: does it have 7 "rows" of tools? Hope my belt pocket would fit it (8 rows maximum).

  • @jobytoss It is a 7 layer knife.

  • Can u imagine what Macgyver would do with something like that....lol

  • Great review...i mean it...superb review!!!.....

but where do you buy it directly from Victorinox or from amazon/something?

i was thinking about getting the explorer plus....

  • it has a magnifying glass OMG. this tool is going to conquer the world im sure.

  • @Avrelsg The magnifying glass is for starting fires in a survival situation.

  • probly 1million dolla

  • I've bought one in the actual factory in Switserland this summer! It's in Ibach.

  • It's a very good knife, but it's too large... i'm going to buy a victorinox, but i'm undecided between the huntsman and the swisschamp... (they are in two version of a bundle called traveller pack, in which there is also a light)

  • @Merone89 in between both of those is the crafesmen

  • i'd like to hear the xplanation i got a swiss kinfe and it has a lot of things that i didnt see in the video and id like to heart it in spanish because i couldn't understand the man's voice thanks

  • victorinox > leathermen

  • @KalConduitman

I recommend getting the best of both worlds!

  • @CleverDjembe Lol same I got a leatherman free style to compliment my saks

  • when the pen in the knife is out of ink is there a refill or do u have to buy the whole pen?

  • @kirklanddavis The "pen" is a refill. There is nothing more to it than being a refill.

  • @wwwknivestowncom ok thx

  • @wwwknivestowncom so that means when you out of ink you can get a ink thing in a pen and put it in?

  • @yesmynameismy Yes, the "Pen" is just a refill that inserts into the knife. You just get a new one and push it into the knife like the previous one. You dont refill anything, each is disposable.

  • I wonder if Victorinox does custom ones IE: you choose what tool goes on

  • dose any victorinox knife have some kind of tool that can make fire ??

  • @HAN2929 The magnifying lens on this knife can be used to make a fire if there is strong sun available. Cut saplings with the saw, make tinder with the knife, start them burning with the magnifying lens.

  • @wwwknivestowncom nice idea

  • i have a victorinox also butt a smaller mod. i just also bouth a benzen tools rambo type survival knife and it's realy long 14,5 inches (35 cm)

  • how do you send back your swiss army knife if it brakes

  • I carry the Tinker because it's one of the few models that has a philips screwdriver instead of a cork screw. I guess if you drink wine you might need a corkscrew?... but you'll use the philips more than you'll use the knife.

My only grips about a Victorinox is the knife blade won't hold an edge. Sharpen it, use it once or twice and it's as dull as a butterknife. Also, anything detachable like the toothpick and tweezers you can pretty much kiss goodbye after a while.

  • Awsome work! your a good reviewer!

  • that is a very impressive knife! id buy it

ive used many swiss army knives in my day but this is amazing
