I am reading "The Storyteller's Daughter" by Saira Shah. She has fortitude and insight. She examines her own cultural motivations as well as she describes the behaviors of others in a complex society under decades of war. Highly recommended reading. "Beneath the Veil" won a Peabody Award in 2002. Remarkable documentary shown on CNN. Getting a handle on human rights through the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights could bring hope to us all. Freedom and security are for all human beings.
where can you get the full documentary??? also does anyone remember a taliban/al qaeda documentary shown on c4 where the reporter actually goes into the mountains and meets some of them???
Everyone, especially the lady herself please forgive me, but I cannot help but say that Saira Shah is beautiful as well as brilliant.
