It started when one of my neighbors said a certain rare fish only comes out when its raining and I was like "ITS RAINING FTW" So I caught one, Donated it, caught another, put it in my house, caught another put it in my house. @i9902170 There is no cheat. You go fishing when it's raining or snowing, between 4pm and 9am and pull the rod back as soon as it bites down. Of course, it will swim away very fast

I FINally caught a coelacanth today it took me 1 and a half hours catching sea bass and red snappers as soons as i caught it i donated it to the museum I caught it at 25th of december at 5:59 pm in the ocean the shadow is same size as sea bass so about medium-large

I went to my island this morning and it was raining (it was 6:30am in real life and on the game) and I saw a MASSIVE shadow in the water and I was like, wtf? So I caught it and it was a Coelocanth. I was like, YESSSSS! I woke up my Mom, Dad, and my sister screaming. :D lol! Also at night or real early if its raining can you catch one in your own town? Please respond.

@ilikemilk18 find a rainy day after 4 pm. Go to the ocean, and look at the shadow of the fish. If it isn't huge, run to scare it away and go to the next acre over. Look at that one, and if it's not huge, scare it away, and return to the previous acre. Repeat this tactic (I like to call it "Scare Fishing") and you'll end up with a lot of them.

Actually, you can catch Coelacanth while it's snowing. I've had City Folk for 3 days now and I've already caught a lobster (don't know if that's rare or not) and a Coelacanth (while it was snowing, and yes it was definitely snow)!
