so in 2003 and again 2004 i went to a general admissions concert in lowell, ma. we showed up like 12 hrs early and were one of the firsts there. as i always, i brought my guitar with me (everywhere i go). the line began to grow longer and longer as the day went on. we started to get hungry so we ate and i then began to play guitar, dashboard songs of course. everybody sang in when all of a sudden (both occassions), the band came out and sat in front of me to listen. chris also played my guitar.

They weren't kicked off the Bon Jovi tour at all. That's all they were scheduled for to begin with. It was a huge honor for them to be able to play with those guys, same as when they opened for U2.

As for this video (being a crazy DC fan) I know that Chris was very sick at this time. Right after Dusk and Summer came out he was having some serious throat problems. You gotta give him props for still belting this out with everything he had.

Chris's voice isn't always 100 percent. But if you like their albums you HAVE to see them live. The vibe is so amazing. He lets the crowd sing a lot and you can really tell they're into it. Still one of the best shows I've ever been to.
