I have long hair and I encourage other guys to grow their's as well. I have always wondered if I ever have a son, would I let him grow his hair. Id have no problems if he were older of course, but at the age your son is in this video, im not to sure to be honest. At that age, there are few indicators of gender and im afraid there will be a lot of negative social consequences for him. Maybe not so much harassment, but people always thinking he is a girl. Did you run into this problem at all?
I agree. I was always insulted by others for my long hair when I started growing mine out as a teenager and I still get negative remarks, not only from other people outside, but also from many elders in my family and relatives, especially my grandmother who keeps on making nasty remarks about me "looking like a woman". Although I, and most of my close friends don't see anything wrong with male long hair (it's just hair, only long, but still). The problem roots from conformity in society.
Yeah, I was harassed too. Concerning my family, once they realized it wasnt just a phase, I havent heard them mention it since. With other people I dont get harassed anymore. At the end of high school, I would get a lot of positive comments actually. Of course the occasional jackhole would make his opinions known, but whatever.
He so cute with his hair .. I favor boys with long hair than short
