  • I love the jumping spinning back kick

  • I have trained Shukokai, so trust me when I say, which kick has impact strength and which one doesn`t have any power. Cause I know what I am talking about, although I may not be a good fighter, it doesn`t mean that I don`t know a shit... Let me predict what is about to happen, when that foot lands on the target... The man with the fancy kicks will fall to the ground and propably hurt his back, if he doesn`t know how to make ukemi... After that the other guy is going to laugh himself to death! XD

  • I am sorry, but doesn`t convince me... Don`t get me wrong, the guy surely knows, how to throw some kicks, but it is just that there is zero impact in those kicks... X( It is hard to spoil this to people, who know nothing about martial arts... In reality flying kicks do no damage to the opponent, they happen to have a reverse consequence... Only a few legends like Bruce Lee can use those effectively in a real fight!

  • @Resifanboy That's not entirely true. While I'm personally not a fan of jump kicks, they can be quite effective(See Machida's KO on Couture for a visual). I've have ribs cracked before running into a jump-spin back kick, and the man who threw it was only about 160lbs. Also, techniques are all not necessarily offensive in nature: a back kick, whether it be jumping, spinning, or just a simple back kick, can be used as a devastating strike, but can also be used to keep an opponent at range.

  • @slingman6 yup, true... However I wasn`t talking about uramawashigeri, I meant those fancy butterfly kicks that deal no damage! I have martial art background, which has now lasted for more than five years... So trust me, when I say that those kicks should be left to their rightful owners like Bruce Lee... Machida is tough, no doubt about it... Yet, let me get this one correct, his KO-kick was a flying majgeri, not a spinning back-kick in the mid-air! XD

  • Van Damme kick

  • Osu!!!!

  • @bronx36100 You too... You mean "Oss!"... "OSU" means "Devil" in Japanese...

  • @nosoyalguien I've always wandered why people pronounce it 'Osu'. Our club was told off once by a Japanese instructor for pronouncing it 'Oos' (just emphasising the O) and told it was a short sharp 'Oss'.

  • @Toxeh coz in japanese the letters are different than the rest of the world. Letters are syllables.. the only vowels and the letter n can be written and spoken without being a part of a syllabus.. osu comes from the merging of oshi shinobu, which if was english it would make os or oss.. but since it's japanese it becomes osu.. but in many occasions the "u" isn't pronounced heavily or at all when it is at the end of the word.. that's why non japanese people just say oss..

  • You guys know dick about marcial arts... stop saying stupid and ignorant things.

  • I can do the Tobi Mae Geri. The rest... needs practicing :P

    Shotokan Karate/Jiu Jitsu student.

  • Anyway - it's nice and quite accurate.

One must train hard to get that level.

    Karate - forever

  • Shotokan is the best. I would like to see those guys fight one of taekwondo practicer to show them the real kick of Shotokan karate.

  • Dude, wrong page, this is Wado-ryu ;)

  • how the hell you know

  • Because the video info on the top right of the webpage states it. Use your mouse or touchpad to scroll and then READ. I'll leave it to you to find out how you can verify the info there.

Actually I was just waiting for your silly response. No offense, dude, I'm sure you're cool as "hell" otherwise but you deserved all of it ;) What are Martial arts about if not awareness and politeness? Ok, wisecrack mode off. Because of you I just found a very cool, well-written website on Karate, so thank you.

  • @shatterprone yah youre right it is wado ryu

  • It depends on by what rules they would fight. Each fighter would have a bonus in it's discipline

  • Shotokan is not the best. u cant say the best! But shotokan karate's have the perfect punch, and kick technic.

  • @Robizdur don't forget about reflexes you gain

  • @Robizdur nah, neither perfect punch, neither kick technique. they're just another popular karate.

  • @Robizdur

lol no they have no power at all

    kimura shukokai fastest and strongest

but shotokan karate is beautiful i have to say

  • @Robizdur I know lot of people who changed to GoJu Ryu because they came to disagree with that statement.

  • i agree with you, poor technique

  • 0:21 owns!!!!

  • May be not fancy like kung fu, but have you already take a hit by a kick like that?

  • very good

  • yea,.. nice techniques, a bit slow.. maybe

    -as demonstration 5/5

    -as speed and power 2/5

  • all kicks are useful in combat, and tobigeris are not the exception. they're very sorpresive yet risky, so they must only be used when the skill is completely mastered

  • but there are some of useful kicks.this kicks can you use in fights.like the last.but the first 3 is just a trick.

  • wise note, sir!

Van Damme ballet style is teh first one

the second is a tobi eko geri which is quite useful and hard to catch if done properly

  • the first kick is not so good.when you have good reflexes you can just hit in his neck when he turn's

  • omg i love it.

  • nice

  • nice kick wow very good
