This video does not really do this stunning performance justice, This initial scene is super surreal but you cannot see what is happening here, that is that a male actor is standing behind the singer and it is his arm that is making the gestures, the effect is really strong. Totally strange and complex, as usual the Wooster Group is brilliant,
Just read about this and some of Elizabeth LeCompte's other works - sounds like genius, wish I had seen it.
