Nano Small Stone Demo

haha awesome. I was doing research on how Radiohead gets its sound and came across the Small Stone. This was the second video that came up on EH's site.

What's the difference between a phaser and a reverb. I can't decide which one to get. I think the reverb will give better distortion but the phaser is better for doing longer delays with chorus.

@dsotm321 I just got a small stone nano and like yours, with color on down and 100% it also sounds pretty clean and unphased, which surprised me. actually came to check demo's to see if this was a normal feature or a fault in my pedal. must be normal :s

Great demo. Thank God you just got to the POINT and played guitar and showed the pedal in action. I can't stand to watch demos where some dork is telling you their life story and every little dertail of the gear their using and the pick-ups in their guitar or whatever. It's like...who the hell cares, you know?! Haha...

i have the same pedal and yeah my rate knob does that too when color switch is down...i wonder why that is? besides that this is a pretty good sounding pedal, especially for the price

Beautiful sound. Only problem is the faster rates not really being that useable, but then that not too much of a worry, since I just want a smooth, creamy slow sweep and throb, which is exaclt what this give.

It's not a stupid question, but as far as i know no pedals can do that. Most effects proccesors or multi effects can do that. What i do is just put a headphone adapter into the output on my amp.

loooove this pedal. i have a boss ph 3 on my board but i keep this one because when your trying to get the vintage phaser sound (pink floyd,air,radiohead,etc). there isnt anything else ive heard thats out now that is that damn spot on. awesome pedal! :)

The reissue has a volume drop problem, the nano seems to have fixed that issue.

I just managed to by this from a buddy for 40 bucks. Could turn out to be the best 40 dollars I've spent in a long time. The tone of this phaser is even better in person, and I'm a bassist...

Also, it looks like when you have the color switch it down it maxes it out enough to cancel out the effect, which is normal.

On my Small stone nano, when the effect is ON, toggle switch is DOWN and the rate is set to MAXIMUM the effect seems to disappear... it seems to happen in this vid too - is this normal??

I have one too, yeah it goes away. but at least to me it makes a sick ass ring modulated/octave kinda sound with distortion or fuzz.

yeah mine does the same, but it does get a very fast warbly sound with distortion...either way this vid convinced me to buy the pedal and its a very cool pedal...a steal for the price and the sound quality

the Nano is actually better than the regular because the regular has a slight volume drop when switched on, whereas the Nano doesn't. It keeps perfect volume.

yeh, I played one in the shop today and I was getting to about 5 o'clock before it ring modded out on me. Pretty cool to have so much versatility in one pedal. With the colour switch up it can get really funky, almost like a wah. Gotta get one man~

I had a Russian Smallstone that never worked for me and got jack of it...so I bought the Nano and haven't looked back.

This is basically the bigger one in a little box. they kept the big one going for people who like the 'original' small stone, and also produced a cheaper smaller version with identical circuitry. Any help?

Haha thanks. This video was just to check with other Nano Stone users on the Harmony Central forums to see if the rate knob with the switch on color down was supposed to be so limited(as you can see for me, max speed is about 2 o'clock). Apparently it's normal, but some people can go down to about 4-5 o'clock before the speed maxes and goes into that subtle ring mod sound.
