No, just single player. I only need single player anyway, and also if I wanted two player it would double the work on a lot of the system. It would also need more banks of switches which would be a problem.
There is a lot of work to do yet on other consoles for this project, and the main case itself needs a lot of time and work on it too. There's probably a good year to year and a half left before completion.
Truth is I don't know exactly how it will end up looking. There will be a vertical bank of switches on the left side, middle section will be game carts; system will be painted cream.
can you not get the big block of switches interconnected, like on old tvs. so you just press whatever one you want, and dont have to press out the previous switch
This is great. From a maintenance point of view when the console is fully contructed how easy is it going to be to locate and fix issues? I just know with that many consoles connected every so often something is going to happen - whether it is related to the original hardware or the AlphaOmega setup. Keep up the good work.
Indeed, fixing things later is a concern so am making it as easy to get into as can, although in reality won't be as easy as just pulling things out; wires will need removing and re-connecting for sure. Trying to make things as hassle free as possible though for future repairs.
Yes, uses two analogue shoulder buttons which are modded to also have digital ability when fully pressed; on top of that, there are an extra two digital shoulder buttons, precisely for the PlayStation.
OMG it's a 1950's mad scientist's science fiction invention gone mad! Then again all genius inventors are slightly mad or so I heard! Seriously this thing's crazy but you got mad skills for being able to do it and serious determination to even try! I guess I'll just have to see this when it's done to really know what I think. It will probably look much better than I can imagine right now when it's done!
There will be around 20 more videos in this series to follow and will certainly take another year if not two to complete; been a year already since started the project!
Thanks! Probably has taken around 200 hours or more of work so far to get to this stage, a lot of that time troubleshooting. Now the template is made, progress on extra consoles will be quicker regarding connectivity in the future.
WTF is alpha and omega doing in the suggestions?

@MODDEDbyBACTERIA Okay, I'm waiting to see it XD Can you at least draw out the case so we can get a good idea of how it looks?

@MODDEDbyBACTERIA Cream? Thats gonna look weird but I at least hope that you make it very interesting and creative! Good Luck on finishing!
JinMasta 8 months ago
Reason for being cream is that's the colour of the large lounge unit housing it's going to fit into; so it looks coordinated to the surroundings.

If you don't press out the previous switches, there will be conflicts between the console and controller, even if the other console was off.
