Ive read both A's&D's and DaVinci Code and I do remember that it's mentioned in at least one of them somewhere. It's not something that we necessarily need to USE in daily life but it does APPEAR in a lot in common things in nature. I suggest listening to "46 and 2" by TOOL and reading "The Ancient Secret to the Flower of Life" by Drunvalo Melchezedek and/or "The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe" by Lynne McTaggert. It may open your eyes to something beyond your comprehension. If you can't look at evolution with an open mind, you may be a lost cause already. in this modern world, it is unlikely that humans will change unless mutation occurs. but humans in colder climates have smaller noses and in warmer climates have bigger noses. it occurs every day and proves evolution is real. humans will remain the same way you see today if environments dont change. example monkeys living in arboreal environments developed prehensile tails to swing on trees, and you don't see that other classes of monkeys. evolution is adaptation to environment.

i thought evolution was the process of organisms adapting to their environment . for example, bipedalism is a physical trait that was selected for in certain primates which slowly evolved to humans, losing hair due to warmer climates and skull change due to foramen magnum placement+brain size= humans. evolution simply occurs so that organisms may adapt to their fluctuating environments/niches. change is not the same as progression.

Phi is a greek letter representing the Golden Section, Divine Proportion, however it's expressed because, a man wrote about it and used the first three letters of Phidius, the most accomplished sculptor of all time. Fibonacci's sequence matches Phi after about the 12th or 13th place, when you divide one number of the sequence into the next, working forward OR backward. eg, 233 divided by 377 equals 0.6180371. This number uses the lower case, phi. When it's 1.618 etc, you use the uppercase, Phi.

Write out the fibonacci sequence to at least 24 positions, then compress the multiple digit numbers to single digits (13 = 4, 144 = 9 etc...)
There is a repeating pattern over 24 positions and a mirror symmetry point at 12.
Then write your compressed numbers down in a 4 x 6 grid; first 4 numbers vertically then the next 4 vertically next to that etc....like this;

No there is no WORD Phi as it's the 21st letter of th greek alphabet. It represent, among other things, the Golden Ratio (1.618 appx). ie - the fibonacchi sequence's polar graph.

Ive read both A's&D's and DaVinci Code and I do remember that it's mentioned in at least one of them somewhere. It's not something that we necessarily need to USE in daily life but it does APPEAR in a lot in common things in nature. I'm in engineering and it's used a number of times for certain calculations, much like the commonly used Pi (3.14...).

When you say the "universe is too complex" you are really putting upper and lower limits on how complex you would expect it to be.
Since we do not know the cricumstance of the origin of the universe it is impossible to say that the universe should be like this or that which is why there is no such thing as "too complex".
What we do know is that things in the univesre follow laws and that these laws are impossible to violate. Do you take this to be a proof of the supernatural ???
