Its great to see that APC has recognised that the patented approach that KyotoCooling have taken is the right one and not gone for the direct air approach. The main difference is that KyotoCooling does not consume water in its cooling process but still offers world leading efficiency of performance
Surely a lot of the excess heat in data centres is from the drives. The drives in my rack are very hot and loud. I switched to SSD's and was able to reduce the air-conditioning requirements by about 50 %
EcoBreeze looks like a nice solution though - I am currently venting the AC unit here to heat other parts of the facility.
