San Diego, a truly nice city....if you can afford to live in one of the decent parts. If not, it is not so pleasant, you will have a hard time insulating yourself from the filthy aspects of this city. Downtown has some great areas, but, it also has a lot of areas filled with drugged out dirty bums crapping/urinating on the sidewalks. Neighborhoods south and east of downtown are pretty sketchy. North of town is your best bet if you only speak english.
Dude, I'm gonna' live in the pinnacle when I'm older. Screw, Chicago its too cold. Dude, do you live in San Diego? If so what there too do there (do you get bored) and is the water warm?
You won't get bored living in Downtown San Diego! :o) There's good night life to be had in the Gaslamp Quarters.
You can spend a whole month exploring Balboa Park and still keep going back... the same with the bay. You can walk the Embarcadero promenade from Gaslamp Quarters all the way to Shelter Island, watching diving birds and various ships and boats. Or take a whale watching or a bay cruise, etc.
Water temp is cool through out the year (cold current in summer, warm current in winter). :o)

We have the most beautifully integrated skyline in the US :) Born and raised here...travelled the world and nothing is like our gorgeous city!

Agreed! :o) I like the 500 ft height limit on buildings here. It keeps the place from becoming another concrete jungle, I think. :o)
