The book is brilliant, and I have been waiting years (literally years) to see this film, and then its finally made...in a foreign language!

I got to read the book but the movie is such a good one. The actors are not so bad, some scenes are very poignant (?) i mean i felt like i was the central figure.. and the music is so perfect, amazing!

Once upon a time, Hollywood had the right for the book and the english Michael Apted was on the way to realize it but i believe that nobody trusted in the film so the author gave them to the cut frenchy Guillaume Canet... for our pleasure ^^

What Irony! Hollywood has rejected the adaptation of this movie, and the french have adapted... with a surprisingly result! This movie has won the Cesar ( the french Oscar) of Best Director and Best actor

That's good. Hopefully we'll get some English subtitles. My limited French can only get me so far. :)

I'm halfway through the book, and although it's following a formula, it's a good formula.
