This is a cool glimpse into a great concert moment in The King's last year of life! This was actually performed the day I was born and I discovered when looking for the top song when I was born. Very neat, thanks for posting!!
I like Elvis and all His music; but , lets face it, this is joke of a show. Tell me if I am wrong please.... How can a great singer like He was forget about a song or when he recorded it, or even more, play that stupid as He did by not knowing one of the best song He recorded......? Maybe was a fix show, or maybe he was so druged that He did not know His name. How sad. Other than that..... I like His music.
please someone has a video where Elvis sings only you .... not find it anywhere ... if someone has posted it to me in my page can you tube ???... thanks
I have to agree with Fishaman. His voice wasn't what it used to be. From 1974 on his voice changed and to me only on rare occasions he managed to sing really good. He could handle songs like Hurt with almost singing in kind of a opera style. But the subtleness in his voice was gone.
Fisherman 1980 there was nothing wrong with Elvis' voice at the end. Listen to all the footage that RCA and CBS recorded on his last three stops and you'll see what I mean. There were some that didn't sound that good but most are over the top.
Man.....I love Elvis, but you could definately tell he was in bad shape just by listening to this. He had a severely impacted colon and I think thats a big reason why his voice went. My favorite Elvis era was 1968-1970. Comeback special and the Thats the Way it Was concert special. We miss you Elvis! RIP
There's been a lot of things said about Elvis but he was the most generous individual. Yeah, he had faults but who doesn't? He could sing like nobody else. His voice could take you anywhere. And you can feel the emotion in his songs. Even his films have a certain charm. I've just got the last filmed concert from 1977 and the manners and respect he had are still there. How many artists can be recognised by saying "thank you, thank you very much?" The man was a genius.
As Elvis's health declined... and his health problems were very serious--life-threatening and painful..even his eyes caused him severe pain...these causing him to use pain medication regularly..he just became very vulnerable. His own feelings, fears and weakness were there for the world to see. But he continued going up on stage. He was a brave and positive man, yep and he did love performing.. Surprisingly that was where he was most at home. Or singing gospel at a piano.
ive never seen him,,, but i been a fan of him since i was litlle 4 yaers now im 45 and i am still in love with the man who enchanteed me... luve Elvis

The2Fool - MB Yes. I have the entire SUIT ON. PIANO, ON face. Soft, beige leather engraved GUITAR, ON my back, and ehehehhe, BELT BUCKLE, ON, attached to my "erroganous zone," back of my head - so i'm like really feelin' it baby. And like Johny Cash, is all like ready to blow me away. It's not funny - because I've already been to the emergency room, 3 times, in 3 years. MB, yhetsh. Rod Stewart - If you want my body and you think I'm sexy, ouch, that hurts. I'm sorry. I won't touch you. o.k.
This was my very first concert at the age of 9! It was certainly the most memorable of all that I have attended. I was amazed at the reaction Elvis created from the audience (men and women). @thefightingirish1919 Thats not true, is manager has it 3 orignal songs and 7 covers on the album in the last few years. This song, an original song was a #1 hit a few months before he died.
By this point, Elvis had problems big time, and the people that HE WAS PAYING didn't do a d*mn thing but ride on his coattails until the (obviously soon coming) end. Humble? Yes. But but they were telling him that he was indestructable.
What Elvis did was make the rock star disposable, and people today hate modern music because by and large it sucks.

Before Elvis came on stage you could feel the show room starting to change. Everyone new that they were about to be entertained by the biggest singing star in the world. When he walked onto the stage you were transfixed. No other singer will ever match him.
ELVIS WAS A FAT ASS PIECE OF SHIT NO TALENT HACK. HE IMITATED THE MUSICIANS ON THE CHITLIN CIRCUIT. THE FAT DRUG ADDICTED COCKSUCKER COULDNT COMPOSE, DANCE, ACT, SING OR PLAY THAT FAKE GUITAR. FUCK THE FAT, BANANA SANDWICH GORGING SON OF A BITCH! NOW THE CEMETERY WORMS ARE ENJOYING ELVIS' FAT ASS & GETTING HIGH OFF HIM TOO. FUCK YOU MISSISSIPPI GOOBERS WHO WORSHIP THAT COCKSUCKING CHILD MOLESTER ELVIS PRESSELY. HE SUCKS GODZILLA DICK. 56stiffy has spoken!
@yang2900 He is not gone. Only retired. All evidence points to a hoaxed death. Only the King could pull that off. The audience in this picture is only about twelve feet away and still use binoculars! Laughs!
Elvis and MJ were both great artists... and both had great people like Sam Phillips (with Elvis) and Barry Gordy and Later Quincy Jones (who produced the brilliant Off the Wall and Thriller albums with MJ) to harness that talent.
So thank you Sam Phillips and Barry Gordy for discovering 2 talented artists.
LMP and MJ did remain good friends and she did attend the private funeral.
And I'm sure Elvis would have helped MJ try to kick his drug habit, people who say otherwise forget that this is a guy who paid Jackie Wilson's med bill and he did meet MJ when MJ was still with the Jacksons in Vegas.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
PLEASE PEOPLE STOP POSTING ELVIS VIDS. HE WAS A FATASS NO-TALENT FAGGOT, DEAD ON A TOILET, CHILD MOLESTER WHO SHlT 50 POUND TURDS. HE'S DEAD!! THE WORMS ARE FEASTING ON HIS DRUG FILLED, COCKSUCKING CARCASS. POST SOME MICK JAGGER OR GREEN DAY DAMMIT!!
He was fat from 1935-1973? Really? Well i've seen thousands of pictures of him during those years that say you're full of shit. He did die in the BATHROOM, which was built like a dressing room. He did PRESCRIPTION drugs, unlike Mick Jagger who does illegal drugs. Also, prove to me who he molested. Where has he been charged with molesting a minor and who was the victim?
As much as ppl want to side on MJ or Elvis could Elvis sing Beat it and dance his ass off like MJ and also could Elvis sing the deap barotones of 'blue moon'. NO?! Becuase they are different. GET OVER IT.
The problem wasn't so much that he didn't know the words...he had them, but the original recording was not as high pitched as what is played here. He was right to make the distinction, and its great he can make fun by saying, "I keep hanging on, 'trying to learn this song' but i never do."
Just read the stupid comments by OneWest72nd. Cover singer? Do great singers have to write songs? Does he think (I'm assuming OneWest is male, his arrogant tone certainly sounds it) that Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Howlin' Wolf, or Placido Domingo aren't great singers? I don't think they're known for their songwriting. OneWest calls Elvis a hick, but sounds deeply provincial himself. So who's the hick?
I love elvis...but yes..he is not in his right mind here...if you have ever been involved with addiction...you will understand....
he performed...knowing... that he was not at his best...but thought he could do his job....we see the result...still...he was unmistakeably one of the best performers in our era....I feel his pain... he wanted to do more...but just couldnt....he was taken to soon....God give you rest ep...

Before Elvis came on stage you could feel the show room starting to change. Everyone new that they were about to be entertained by the biggest singing star in the world. When he walked onto the stage you were transfixed. No other singer will ever match him.

Appreciate him for he was great and good.
RickyDavidstanley77 2 years ago
While Elvis didn't write many of the songs he recorded, he made a lot of people rich singing the songs they did write.
greg8698 2 years ago
@greg8698 he co-wrote Love Me Tender.

@yang2900 He is not gone. Only retired. All evidence points to a hoaxed death. Only the King could pull that off. The audience in this picture is only about twelve feet away and still use binoculars! Laughs!

@MJG956 That is so ridiculous. I wish he was still alive but he died in 1977 folks wake up

Elvis Presleys daughter Lisa Marine Presley was MJ's X wife. But she devorced him.
VegittoUltimate 2 years ago
LMP and MJ did remain good friends and she did attend the private funeral.
And I'm sure Elvis would have helped MJ try to kick his drug habit, people who say otherwise forget that this is a guy who paid Jackie Wilson's med bill and he did meet MJ when MJ was still with the Jacksons in Vegas.

actually this was one of the kings last live performances and yes he was off his face but my god he still nails it....when it gets going ha ha

56Stiffy 2 years ago

GET OVER IT.
modemwoody 2 years ago
Actually Elvis could sing DEEP BARITONES (capitalized for correct spelling emphasis).
illusionistdave 2 years ago 2
He had a huge tone range - watch Unchained Melody (1977) to hear the other extreme.
jopescu 2 years ago 5
Oh i know it. My response was to a person who said he couldn't sing deep baritones. Elvis's range was huge.:)
illusionistdave 2 years ago 3
Listen to Can't Help Falling In Love, his Baritone is smooth.

I once heard that Elvis one of a very few professional singers who could song comfortably in a five octive range...I don't recall the source.

elviskingintheworld 2 years ago
