  • Sounds great! I have a 65 with the 200 straight 6 and a Flowmaster 40 exhaust. Mine doesn't sound as good :( does the dual out change it at all? or just for looks? I considered changing to a cherry bomb, but i'm more of a fan of flowmaster. and one last thing, the rota's that you're sittin on, are they 4 lug? or did you do a 5 lug conversion to it?

  • I just bought a bone stock 200 6 like this. did you do anything to that motor or is that a bone stock motor like my 66 mustang? reason im asking is if yours is stock like mine id consider doing my exhaust like yours cuz it sounds beautiful.

  • I have a '65 fairlane with the inline 6, and correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the 200 6 kicked out 120hp, not 125hp.

  • Since I do not have all the time to read all comments, please help me by answering all my question. What series flowmasters? what size pipes? what size rims/tires? Thank you.

  • how high do you take the revs. what engine upgrades do you have?

  • What's the wheel and tire size?

  • Anyone know how much a 200ci six cylinder would sell for??

Nice mustang by the way. I have a 67 with the 6 in it. Sounds good!

  • @MrFordguy67 around $200-$300

  • Very nice car!..looks and sounds great

  • Like to see the six banger in AZ!! I'm in the Buckeye/Goodyear area, maybe you'll see my blue '65 (straight six) cruisin someday!

  • What size are your wheels and tires? That's a great wheel choice.

  • You can get the exact same muffler for less than half the price at Summit. Look for the Summit chambered race mufflers. You can get them for less than $30 each, usually.

  • does it boost the HP any?

  • what series flowmaster is that?

  • Sweet exhaust! What model Flowmaster did you use? I've got a '66 Chevy C10, all original with straight 6 250 and I'd be siked if I could make it sound like yours!

  • pimp ride

  • what muffler is it? flowmaster 40? and do you have a y pipe? or something how did oyu make it into dual with such good quality sound?

  • did you change the header also? and you used flow master iI want that same sound on mine what should i do ? or what should I get i should say ?

  • @fly2344 just the muffler, everything else is stock

  • I want this exhaust for mine! It sounds like a wind up car.

  • Ha... even the old 6ers sounded like V8s. What happened? : (

  • very nice mustang! I love the exhaust note as well as the paint!

  • thanks

  • 3.6 litres and only 125bhp and 175lbft?

    that'll run forever!

Im guessing its very tractable and low revving?

easy power hikes with a set of webers, different cam and exhaust etc?

  • 3.3 liters, 7 bearings, high revving, the specs i found on a mustang website. these engines can take a beating and last forever as long as they are maintained.

  • Sounds great, much better than a V8. Looks great too, and I like the wheels.

  • also what size whee/l tire combo are you using

  • Rota Rb wheels bfgoodrich tires front is 15x7 rear is 15x8

  • thats for letting us in on your secret, but one thing was left uncertain, what kind of flowmaster muffler did you use

  • 40's series

  • how does your exhaust sound at higher rpms? you should check out my video too

  • what kind of flowmaster do you have on it? i have a 68 mustang with a 200ci also with a 40 series but it doesnt sound nearly as good

  • idk everyone tells me its a 40's series.

  • nice ride man

  • thanks

  • Hey I was wondering what the brand is of those wheels?

  • Rota RB wheels they come in a variety of colors

  • Cool, thanks. They look great.

  • Not to sound like a jerk or anything, but how the hell did you manage 125HP with just header upgradeS? If that's all you've done to the engine, how did you manage to even go past 100HP? Unless this is a 250 block and not the regular 200. But even then, a 250 making that much HP is odd with just those upgrades.

Unless of course the spark plugs are gapped.

But still though, cool car and I like the out of the factory/showroom restoration.

  • @Salesman

Stock horsepower for the 200 was 120hp at the crank. I would think headers would add a little more than 5 horsepower though.

  • no wait my mistake. I completely forgot that the earlier 200s had a much higher HP output compared to the later 200s like the one in my 74 Maverick.

  • i need to dyno this thing so i can see what the real specs are

  • thanks. i got the specs off a website.

  • Gotta love those little sixes. I myself am working on my 200 in my Maverick. What other mods besides exhaust have you done to the engine?

  • bone stock except for the modern hall effect distributor, ram air, and spark plug wires and exhaust

  • plz tell me wat kind of exhaust set up u have, i also have the same car straight six and tried 2 dif types of exhaust notin sounded as good as urss

  • stock exhaust manifold. 2 1/2 inch piping, flow master single in dual out, and two truck chrome tips. hope this helps. ive tried a glasspack and a raptor muffler and a magna flow but they sounded nastey.

  • thnx man ill try that

  • so thats just one flowmaster you got on it? damn the way you got the exhaust comin out the sides is bad ass

  • hey could u let me know what kind of rims and what kind of exhaust u used for ur 6 cylinder cause i would love to put that on my car

  • I think it's awesome!! How do you have the exhaust set up on it? I would like to know for my '66 200CI Mustang. Thanks.

  • ????

  • Your probably just jelous because his car is nicer than yours.

  • That sounds good!

  • thanx

  • haha at 0:37 my cousin was the one who said "you gotta nice interior" lol

  • nice man, i like that sound... so thats a real flowmaster on a 200c.i. ? i like how you put the pipes straight out the sides, i was gunna do that but i didnt want to take the time and get a y-pipe to split the single exhaust, lol but now that i seen how yours looks, i just mite do that... u think u can post a vid of underneath, to see how you ran everything, id like to see that.... good job man!

  • Yes pure 200 cubic inches! I didn't use a y pipe. Of course I'll post a video of underneath. I was just like you back then looking for ways to run my exhaust but i found a way. ill help in anyway possible for all those others like us. I'll post one tomorrow. Thanxs

  • sorry for the bad quality
