Sexual orientation should not matter. Why does someone’s sexual preference need to be public knowledge? Close to 70% of military personnel are against Gays serving openly in the military. This is the only factor that should be considered in my opinion. This is just Government forcing another Social engineering experiment/project down our throats. If I am in a Foxhole in the heat of battle I want another strong man to have my back not a woman or a woman inside a mans body.

As a military member who is Gay, the DADT forces me to lie about me being a Heterosexual. Plus Elain can't argue with the fact that our political enemies such as Saudi Arabia, Yemen, China, North Korea, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Russia, Syria, Pakistan, Egypt agrees with her view that Gays shouldn't be allowed to serve openly.

I don't agree with her at all, but I understand what she's saying. Thom, just because you are straight does not mean that gay, bi, or trans individuals will not be attracted to you. Her argument is based on not wanting to make some straight people uncomfortable by having glbt people in close quarters. The reason for this is because there would supposedly be possible unwanted attraction toward said straight people.
