Personally I think this should be on Hiviz but it could also be on the bike provided that every bike was then nationally registerd. You think this is an exception?! Out of the 5 cyclists seen in the video, 3 of them were blatantly contravening traffic laws. Maybe you should change the video title to "Idiots on bikes".
The behavior of that person is the typical behavior of cyclists, not the exception. If traffic stops at a red and bikes also do, drivers are much more friendly towards cyclists.
@rogerhotuk I'm in Chicago and I see literally 95 out of 100 bicyclists deliberately blow through red lights if they have a chance, go the wrong way down busy downtown streets, and I've personally witnessed several bicycle/pedestrian accidents where the pedestrian gets knocked down and the bicyclist flees the scene of an accident.

Cyclists are the most dangerous road users and this is coming from someone who walks to work (Herne Hill to Blackfriars and back, a 8km journey each day). @kodo376 Nothing wrong with it? Aside from the unlawful nature of the episode, which is at the very least £120 in fines if prosecuted. Also, riding a bicycle dangerously is a criminal offence and thus can carry a prison sentence. Finally, if this cyclist was to cause an accident, he would be liable for the damages, which he is most likely not insured for, nor likely to be able to pay out of his own pocket, given he wont even fork out for a helmet.

Don't know if it's true in your country, but where I live, you are not supposed to enter an intersection until it is clear. Cyclists, motorcyclist and scooterist all proceed before the bus can clear the intersection.

The main reason for recording is in case of accidents or incidents. Camera is there as a potential witness

@rogerhotuk ... you don't necessarily need straps or so you call "foot retentions" on a fixie. he's definitely on a fixie you can tell the way he skid. also he's circling around because he can't do a track stop.

@idkyoo he free-wheels through the first junction so don't think he is riding fixed. looks like a geared bike to me.
riding fixed without some form of foot retention (clips or clip-less) is possible but not advised if you are using your legs to brake.

@kodo376 Nothing wrong with it? Aside from the unlawful nature of the episode, which is at the very least £120 in fines if prosecuted. Also, riding a bicycle dangerously is a criminal offence and thus can carry a prison sentence. Finally, if this cyclist was to cause an accident, he would be liable for the damages, which he is most likely not insured for, nor likely to be able to pay out of his own pocket, given he wont even fork out for a helmet.

@kodo376 He broke the law, caused consternation with the bus driver and the pedestrian. Its illegal even if he does mostly risk himself. He also didnt get very far doing it.
Proper cyclists at the least frown upon it, many discourage others from doing it.

i dont get what this video is even about? the guy didnt do anything dangerous at all! especially compared to a lot of the videos you see of london couriers etc. note that at the end all of the cyclists did exactly the same, this is just how you cycle in a city if you want to get anywhere!

Everyone should take a deep breath and chill the fuck out, this guy is fine, he didn't hurt anybody or even come near, looks to me like he's having a bit of harmless fun on a bike. Its people who get angry on the roads who tend to make rash decisions leading to dangerous and hurried driving so theres no point trying to fuel some kind of needless hate for cyclists. Everyone just needs to relax and enjoy the ride once in a while, its fun!! Beats being stuck in a car anyway!!!

Don't know if it's true in your country, but where I live, you are not supposed to enter an intersection until it is clear. Cyclists, motorcyclist and scooterist all proceed before the bus can clear the intersection.

0:24 is unable to get his feet on the pedals properly blocking the road. At 0:56 RLJ while a pedestrian is crossing. Overall that is one shit cyclist.
