@VividAdventures2010 hey thats great bro its really good when i am able to help out someone newer to the hobby. Its a great hobby and something that I know people do to help themselves out alot. Thanks for the comment bro and hope your doing well
Wow, great to hear about that whole colour mixing. I never thought of the concept of... mix other colours that aren't as obvious to make a brand new shade of the specifc colour I want like what you showed... gray. Hmm... You should totally incorporate it into your painting vids.
@OverlordFxR :) thanks bro I had no idea either till I was taught it and read about it. Its an interesting technique for sure I plan on talking more about it in my new series so should get some more info plus vid responses and comments should help give a pretty good bit of mixing info :) thanks for the comment my old friend glad to see you still around
@TemplarsCrusade01 Hey bro thanks :) not as cool as your building you recently painted but It was still helpful :) thanks for the compliment my friend you take care
@Generalsplatton Aint that the truth. I absolelutely love mixing paints I feel like I am creating even more of my own model when I mix up my paints, its one of those things that I really enjoy and think thats really helpful in improving my painting abilities. Thanks for the comment my friend
@jimeronimo I think I will have some mixing tips on my new series hopefully it will be useful. And then hopefully well get some nice vid responses to further the discussion and technique of mixing paints :) Thanks bro take care
@vanhammer73 Good ole van never misses a vid or a comment even when its a response vid. Your a good guy van which sometimes you dont see many of in this world today so I am privilaged to know you and consider you a friend. Take care bud
@asjarra For sure this was actually a value chart but its still helpful and neat. It helps for mixing paints up and having them equally spaced on the value scale to keep blending looking natural :) thanks for the comment bro
@shepharda74 I am hoping with my new series to cover some more color mixing options out there. that will hopefully help out :) thanks for the compliment bro and I am happy you liked it
@Catattafish It is really an interesting technique and alot of fun in my book. I love mixing paint. Someone once told me that when you mix up your own hues it helps catch the eyes of veteren painting judges because of a change from the normal premixs made but I think theres so many premixes out there thats getting hard to do but still a motivator for me when I started learning about mixing properly :) thanks for the comment bro
Great vid. I'd love to see more on this subject. I'm switching from Citadel to Vallejo paints so I can get into mixing my colors more and this was good timing. Its just too bad I have a GW five minutes from my house, but Vallejo is so hard to find. Working with a rather limited selection of colors at the moment due to availability.
@Randomcrapname80 Thanks so much friend. Yeh I would def suggest getting into mixing especially if you have a limited color selection mixing paints can really help you. You can use a syringe from an infants ibiprofen box to help suck paint outa GW pots and they even have measurements to help keep consistant. I will have more on mixing in my new series. Thanks for watching and commenting friend take care
I've dreaded mixing paints and thats probably because i use the GW paints and dont want to have a weird mix and not knowing how to get the correct ratios, i think when i switch to a dropper bottle paint it would be easier for me to do so. ill probably experiment with mixing different shades and stuff once i get the new paint
@Warpetrie Hey bro glad to hear your interested in trying it. You can still mix GW paints I would get a dropper syringe for making sure there even though. If you buy infant ibiprofen alot of the time it will have a really nice syringe that works great for sucking up paint and even has measurment markings. Thanks for the comment and have some fun bro.
@APJLes :) thanks bro glad you didnt mind. I just see so many people get worried all the time about what highlight and shading colors I use and if they knew how to lighten and darken it wouldnt be a problem at all ya know. I dont mix up my own shades on most of my vids cause I know alot of people dont like mixing cause its slower but I love mixing my own shades when I am painting. THanks for watching this bro and I am glad you liked it :) take care friend
Very cool and informative video bud! I am still very new to the hobby so little things like this help a ton!
