  • Beautiful tribute to a brave man.

  • RIP

  • To enter a burning building to save the life of someone you've never met...you gentlemen are far nobler than I. I commend you.

  • Glory, Glory, Hallelujah.

May the God rest his soul.

  • I can't think of a more amazing tribute to a fallen soul.

  • i think it is a great thing to have the Pipes and drums at a Funeral and what a stiring piece to have played .Amazing grace is a beautiful piece and should start and finish with a solo piper its the touch of class and respect. I dont know you but

    R.I.P Mr McCarthy

  • Rest in Peace

  • the bagpipe was originally used for scaring the crap out off the English in the scottish highlands in the medievals, beautifull music

  • Only a warrior's soul can produce such beautiful music.

  • Amen. Only warriors.

  • R.I.P

  • I'm also a Firefighter of 22.5 years and a former piper. I admire the dedication the eastern bands have over so many in the west. I also like how the lone piper played the final verse and walked away from the ceremony, very nice touch! My respects to the fallens family

  • As I wife from the LAFD and a member of the IAFF, please accept my condolences. My heart, love, and prayers go out to you and yours!

  • I have been a firefighter/EMT for 24 years. The sound of pipes allways brings tears to my eyes. No matter how tough you think you are, This sound means another "brother" has gone to answer his final alarm. I give the mans family ( fire or otherwise) my condolances. God Be with you.

  • Rest in Peace Billy. love you

  • Good to see our music travels well, well done and god bless...

  • WOW..that was truly powerful. I live just outside of Boston on the North Shore, and see almost everyday the Peabody FD Engine 4 screaming down my street. I always wish them well and pray for their safe return from every call. And for those that don't return, RIP.

  • military, or as in like a police officer or fire fighter?

anyways im thinking of joining the national guard a bit :)

    this sounded very nice

  • This is a beautiful song

  • y was the bagpiper walking away

  • it gives it that atomosphere, that like couple of seconds to reflet on the memories and its very moving

  • it symbolizes the departed soul

  • To lose even one...that walk away piper did me in. Rest easy, Billy McCarthy. You are not forgotten.

  • my dad was the walk away piper and upon reveiw he said the band didnt sound well because of the fact that there were to many people there that aren't used to playing with each other, not to knock any ones skill level, theyre all better than me. I'm going to missseeing the Hde park parade at Billy's house, it just wouldnt be the same with out him

  • Please thank your Da for me, ForBoston523. Even though the band sounded challenged, the spirit was there, and in the end, that is what matters most. As long as the love warms through, even sour notes can be the most endearing.

  • Rest in pease, Billy

  • RIP Billy.
