Since people haven't quite understood what the language is...No song is a "mix" of anything. Every song is based on a "futuristic" version of existing languages. So one song might be futuristic Gaelic, another Futuristic japanese, another Futuristic French, etc. Emi Evans created lyrics in all of these different languages, and I bet you anything she could translate them all to English easily.

You both are correct to some extent. It's, rather than 'fake' - It's a made up language, a mix between many languages (True, it's 'fake', but it's powered by emotion, and it just seems kind of real.. wouldn't you say?). You did pick up Gaelic I think, but in anycase, there's a full on interview about the music and it explains more on the writings of the songs. Just google "Originalsoundversion Nier" :) I absolutely loved it.

And if you'd like my opinion, I hardly have tolerance for English dubbing, but I'll admit, it was actually pretty good voice overs.

As it turns out I was right large amounts of people who have played the game many times, even viewing all endings and reading grimoire weiss(albeit translated from various sources), but the most believable source was a quote from a magazine that a developer told the reason.
