Bono's at least he's using his fame as currency to speak out and help with the atrocity in Africa. He's not throwing money down the toilet/giving it to corrupt govts in Africa, but creating sustainable commerce there. This has been proven to work already. I mean, he's backed up by Jeffrey Sachs! If you listen to Bono in recent interviews about his work there, he knows what he's talking about. He knows the stats, he understands the unfair trade, the old debts, the diseases

remember Live8 back then and the wrist-bands manufactured in sweat-shops? it's the same thing all over again -- those red t-shirts are made in lesotho, africa. google sweatshops+lesotho and you'll see what conditions those workers are in (those imbeciles from GAP even have the nerve to show the sweat-shops in their promo-vid). the clean clothes campaign has detailed reports on lesotho.
