this also happened in my Invasion map on halo reach, while getting the power core to the ship, some green dude was flying around. not as a monitor, a spartan. We also checked the player board, but he was not there, he had emiles helmet, left gungnir shoulder, right CQC,

All these "ghosts" are are glitches in the games code.

They happen VERY rarley with just 1 person but happen very commonly with 8-16 people. The game spawns basicly two versions of one of the players but lists it as not a player, rather an enemy, like a Burte. However, on the 8-16 player games, they are almost always invincible.

I read how this happened it happened on the halo 2 map of the old version of this people found out it's either a hacker or an extreme lagger that lagged in and won't get out of the game or something like that oh in the the comment where he never misses and unlimited ammo that actually true and most of the cases is lag and this is a reason why no one plays this map

i know how to make ghosts appear. and they ARE killeable u need like 20 headshots with a sniper so its liek impossible but yeah.... u load into forge and delete everything from a map, then go play in the empty map and it randomly appears anywhere from 30 minutes-3 hours or more he just comes randomly

the ghost is a bot(AI) designed to simulate battle betwn players and so the bungie staff can for faults in the system.They have tried to erase them but the scripted code cannot be removed without messing up the game.So Bungie cant remove them... :(

Prolly fake, but it could possibly be a glitch in the coding. I call it 'rough code'. The game's AI along with the multiplayer models could have created a glitched computer person who would have no identity, wouldn't use normal game animations such as meleeing a sniper rifle like its a pistol, and also not moving it's legs, and would also not count as a kill when you kill it.

Just a glitch, a computer player, nothing more.

What you're saying makes sense. However, computer AI and an actual player act very differently. That's what enables a player to defeat scores of enemies in Campaign mode. This ghost, while not acting physically like a player, seemed to act psychologically like one, which makes me think that someone was controlling it.

I think that this whole ghost thing is just Bungie messing with people's heads. Remember ILoveBees?
