  • One of the best game worlds ever. Brilliant concept - flawed execution. Have never come across a better Steampunk game!

  • @Friday9951 Games centered around only Steampunk are rare, which I find odd seeing how popular it is. Most games only have a steampunk level here or a steampunk outfit there etc etc. I really wish there were more -true- steampunk games like Arcanum.

  • Yes!

  • świetna gra. przypomina mi stare czasy... soundtrack nie ziemski + klimat arcanum. przypowieść o magyi.... pzdr.

  • The music kind of fits with the feeling of nostalgia and how much more fun it was to be young playing these games.

  • troika went defunct in 2005 ;( RIP

  • @Bird50ify Feb 28..we're close to the anniversary.

  • @NzXII im not just talking about skyrim and oblivion im talking about daggerfall and arena too, they were still a relatively small company back then and morrowind came out about the same time, while Bethesda was not the supergiant it is today, and morrowind still probably had less bugs than arcanum.

  • @3ajku Well...i seriously never found major bugs in arcanum....just some tile based. I just told you an example that big companies with 50+ testers will still have 5.000+ bugs in their games.

    (and yes, I'm NzXII)

  • the memories I have from this game....

    I wanna play it again!!!

  • last time i played arcanum? a couple of month ago. i rushed it and felt about it, so i just started new and realized that i couldnt finish slower than i could. i needed to "speedgame" because i have seen everything the game has to offer. this game is great - a masterpiece, no doubt about it. but it is old... the story is told. so let us go on and take a look into the future. the next "world of darkness" game is coming. just google it.

  • The thing about troika is, while they were all FANTASTIC games, the amount of bugs could either meet or exceed the bugs of ALL the elder scrolls games. Vampire had the most bugs ina any one game that i have ever played, and probably will play.

  • @3ajku Bethesda have 50+ testers working 8 hours a day llooking for bugs...and still Oblivion got a crappy lot of bugs...what do you expect from a medium sized company? haha...but, like Oblivion have the patches...Vampire have em too.

  • My god this game man just everything about this game I loved the massive map(feels like a over the top view of elder scrolls) great plot, allies, enemies and secert missions and bosses. To me fallout 2 was NOTHING compared to this. This and deus ex were my favorite rpg of the pc. Thank goodness for GOG for rereleasing this gem. If not for them I would have missed out.

  • traditional RPG :,) Not like those new ones sad they stopped making these good games the only game like this theire still working on is diablo but i dont really like diablo so much :,(

  • best game

  • this game is such a huge part of my life

  • I think the reason why Arcanum is so nostagically appealing is because its soo underrated. If it were more mainstream, maybe it would lose some of its allure.

Anyways look at RPGs nowadays like Dragon Age. Ugh. So "mainstream", all flash no substance. Just lacks a little something more that makes it magical...

Sigh they don't make 'em like they used to anymore

  • @therealfakeAlphabet

For me the appeal isn't hipsterish. I just love the victorian era steampunk vs magic setting, the sandboxy nature of the game, the countless sidequests with varying resolutions, the open-ended character builduing etc.

  • This game brought my dad and me together when i was 8 years old. He'd play it and I'd watch laughing at him after he made a mistake. Troika <3

  • while every call of duty, diablo, fifa and pes sells millions of copies this game failed at market. it is so fucking unfair.

  • No Arcanum 2 ? Damn !

  • I have this game installed on my PC and I cannot stop playing it, no matter how many times I beat the thing! This game is easily my favorite RPG of all time. The various ways the story can be told... the characters, the spells, the towns, the beyond perfect music... They couldn't have made a better game if they tried, in my opinion. Even the graphics are perfect for this game's atmosphere. Ten Years old and it's still incredible. That's a true classic.

  • @BaccusIndigo did you know that if you are master in persuassion you can get a different end? :D

  • @NzXII Yah! I almost always go with some level of persuasion in the game... I looove being a diplomatic type of character. Ahaha.

  • @BaccusIndigo Haha! i'm not that type of player..at least in Arcanum, i always prefered kill everyone who is in my way. ;d. I buyed the game again and i'm having a persuassion-run to see that alternative end i don't saw years ago!

  • @NzXII Ahaha. When you do a persuasion run, you get all sorts of things you normally wouldn't. Like followers that, otherwise, you'd never get your hands on, either from having too many already or from being the wrong alignment. For example, with master rank in persuasion, I managed to get both Geoffrey Tarrelond-Ashe AND Perriman Smythe, whereas normally Perriman would refuse to join you if Geoffrey is in the party. Oh I love those kinds of situations. Always some interesting dialogue.

  • @BaccusIndigo Hahahaha epic, epic! I gonna enjoy that a lot! PS: thanks for the tip ;)

  • @NzXII Hey, no problem. I'm always glad to help someone enjoy Arcanum more! Also try using an idiot savant background... loads of fun with the dialogue with that one. You won't believe how Virgil talks to you when you start the game. Ahahaha.

  • @BaccusIndigo yeah i tried it hahahah...Virgil is a little racist :P...You remember what he says about Magnus when you meet him in front of P. Schuyler & Sons? :D

  • @NzXII Ahahaha. Kinda hard not to! I love their petty squabbling. It's so much fun. I swear, the dialogue in Arcanum makes for almost half of the fun of the game. Troika really went all out with it. Though, honestly, playing a half-orc, let alone an evil half-orc, might get tiresome, since everyone basically hates you and charges you waaaaay more for anything. Ha.

  • @BaccusIndigo Troika's creations are like that...purely awesome. I've played some of their titles like Vampire: The masquerade bloodlines and the talk is like this one, (and have persuassion run also ;] )...oh god...troika is one of the best companies ever made. At the moment i'm using a Half Elf..good one, i can't be evil...i just act like it were me..and get a little sad when i do evil things or say something bad to someone.. XD

  • @NzXII Ahaha. That's just awesome. I've got a male half elf with the Charlatan's Protegé background at the moment. His alignment will be neutral... I plan on stealing from merchants to get more gold and whatnot. Ahaha. He's definitely going to be a mage, though. He's already got 25 magickal aptitude at level 10 and nearly a filled out persuasion bar. Specializes in necromantic black and white, as well as nature. It's kinda awesome. I've actually had to kill the weapons merchant in Dernholm. XD

  • @BaccusIndigo Nah! Kill a merchant? WITCH! hahahah i ALWAYS make it full pick poket, pick lock and stealth. I've like 80.000 gold and i didn't even go to Isle of despair... ^^ just stole all the gold i could from merchants. Some merchants don't have their money in the good's chest..but what i do is take some of the things they sell and sell to em, so i take their money without risk :D Got like 17k from the big magic shop at tarant. (that one with magic blacksmith, white and black magics.)

  • @NzXII Woa. Ya know... I've been meaning to make a stealthy, thief type to see what could happen... But I kept picturing them all weak and incapable of doing much in combat. Ahaha. Guess I just wasn't thinking about point distribution. I'll try a halfling at some point this week, then. Though I gotta ask... how'd you get past the dread hound thing in the magick shops? I was always told to use a scroll of disintegrate on the thing so it'd die a horrible, instant, painful death. Muaha.

  • @BaccusIndigo I used an animal bait...you get it from a NPC..(stealing only, as i remember) but i don't remember exactly wich one...maybe was in that place where u get Gar..there's a room with a chest, if i remember well u get it there.

Having 18 DEX it's the best way to play imho...max dodge, max melee, max pick pocket, max pick lock. You have everything u need :D 2 points ALWAYS to botanic to make HP and Fatigue potions from plants..and those plants cost 3 gold in the shops :D

  • @BaccusIndigo (continue) Do you play in Real Time or by turns? cuz Stealth's real meaning is for rob people. If you're master in stealth noone can see you and you can run stealthy :D! Some points to STR to make him more powerfull, and you have like 25 points left to make a full path..then you decide. Maybe using 18 Perception should work fine, since are just 10 points (thinking with 8 default, 9 if you do that Monk thing background) and you can get max Detect Traps and Stealth.

  • @NzXII 2 points in herbology, eh? Can do. Dexterity is good, I find. Especially for the melee fighter or thief, I find. Typically, I do real time in combat, but if it's for something tough, like golems, I switch to turn based. Otherwise it's practically guaranteed Virgil gets smashed. I chose to go without a special background for my thief. Right now he's got 12 dex and 9 charisma and some points in the thieving skills. We'll see how he does. Heh.

  • @BaccusIndigo 2 points to herbology is the best thing u will do...PRO potions of HP and Fatigue..and SO cheap. You remember that quest of the mentalist wich tells you to get a new cristal ball to make her mentalism things? well if you accept that quest, go to Madam Toussane (or smth like that) and choose help her you will receive a blessing wich gives you 1 chasima point if you have already done the stolen picture quest.

I play perma real time, more fun :D

  • @NzXII Oh wow. Didn't know that about the crystal ball quest! Definitely gonna do that this time around.

  • @BaccusIndigo =D Glad to help you...btw about the pagan gods...do you do the offers? because if you do it well the last god (the god of gods) give you lot of things as gift... :D

  • @NzXII I can never even find the offerings to get those quests done, sadly. I mean, I look online to find where they would be, but when I get there... yeah. Gah. lol

  • @BaccusIndigo Well, i knew the exactly order and the offers because of the pagan gods' book that some elf gives you in tarant, and the image with the circles...do you wanna know the order and the offerings? i can tell you xD..

  • @NzXII lol sure. That'd be awesome

  • @BaccusIndigo Ok first god is located in Falcon's Ache, you have to offer a Li'Tani, it's sold in Ashbury, by a elven trader near the docks.

Second is in the bedokaan village, u have to offer a heartstone wich is lying on the floor in the village and u must not betray the bedokaans.

Third is in the Wheel Clan, u have to offer a Lava Rock..it is found in few dwarven dungeons (where the golems are...you know)

Fourth is in Stillwater, u must complete the quest that u give back the statue.....

  • @BaccusIndigo and you have to offer a Passion Root..wich is found near the altar.

Fifth one is in Vooriden, and u have to offer an Olive Tree Branch, found in the Wheel Clan garden.

That's the first circle...if i remember well, at this point u should have +2 willpower, +2 perception and some sklls ++

    Ok the second circle:

First is Torg, u know where it is already :), u have to offer a Ruby.

Second is Bolo, if u don't know where it his altar, (appears like torg one) is going straigh nort from...

  • @BaccusIndigo Caladon...u have to offer him any ring.

Third is Kerlin, it's altar is found in the MIDDLE of the grey mountains (appears like torg's and bolo's), u have to offer a Mnura Coin...u can buy one at shops or find one somewhere.

Fourth is in kree..yeah, the same place that guy from the underground thieves send you to stole something..u have to offer a Bone Dagger..u can found one of those in the First Panarii Temple or the old Caladon sewers.

Fifth is Moornidal, found in the...

  • @BaccusIndigo Ancient Temple (a little to the north in the middle way between Tarant and Ashbury), u have to offer a Black Diamond...u can stole one at the Caladon Palace, or i think in the Ancient Maze u can found one.

The gift for now are shit, but u have to complete the offers in order to get the major gift.

    Third Circle:

    Alberich (wheel clan)

    Makaal (bedokaan village)

    Kerlin

    Bolo

Then Kaitan..it's altar is found in the gorgoth pass, and u have to offer a Geode. +1 beauty,+1charisma

  • @BaccusIndigo and the freakin' last one...Velorien. it's altar is located in the Vendigroth Ruins..and u have to offer yourself. Just walk into the altar and the offer is done..this is why u have to take the offers in order...because if you walk into velorien's altar u die, if u have done all well, u revive with a new blessing!

Velorien gives you 100 hp, 100 fatigue, 3 or 2 points of Melee, same of Dodge, same of Pickpocket, same of persuassion, same of firearms, +4 dex, +30 damage resist and

  • @BaccusIndigo +30 magic resistance.

Well hope u do this, because it's freaking good! It makes the game more easier (more than it already is), i know, but well....XD

I can't believe i still remember this, omagad!

  • @NzXII Wooow. That's a whole lot of stuff to do! I'm writing it all down and keeping it near and dear. Ahaha. Thanks for the info! Can't wait to get the big blessing.

  • @BaccusIndigo Give a big thank to my Memory...wich holds every single moment playing this game....is that far how much i love it...

Last few years people (including game developers) has been geting blindfolded by the graphics...wich is good but, the game history, mechanism, etc are the thing that games really need....

  • @NzXII Yeah, it's a sad time in the game industry. Most games are all about showing off their graphics while the gameplay, which could absolutely incredible, has often times suffered horribly for it.

  • @BaccusIndigo Yeah....the game industry must see that....graphics are not the point of the game, the mechanisms are...the technical things behind. Isn't easy to create a game, i know that, i'm programmer....but the big enterprises have 200+ people working in the same game at the same time...the creativity of 200+ included to get what? A good game but....incomplete. Incomplete in the sense that the game could have LOT more functions and mechanisms.... :/

  • @NzXII

yup when did they get the storytelling out of it?

  • Ben Houge is a fucking god.

  • sometimes i imagine what if arcanum 2 would be made first person like oblivion or fallout 3. i think it could be even possible, who knows if bethseda will make it?? sure it wouldn't be the same anymore but what the hell i would buy it

  • @RoccoDonDevious That would be shitty,Arcanum is unknow underground masterpiece,it makes the game much better,it's too good to have a mediocre first person RPG sequel.

  • @MrSnowyShow2 It's true that the sequel would never measure up to the original - but having a mediocre sequel would not make Arcanum mediocre by proxy, and it might even direct some attention to this amazing game, so people can see for themselves. If Arcanum did get a sequel, I wouldn't want it to be a first person RPG, though. I think if they ported over the same gameplay system from the original with modern graphics, it might be fairly successful.

  • @Demoncashew Agree, through new kind of story, dark prophecy and both side between the same coin(good/evil or magic/technology)

Listen back to this music make me feel like crying :')

  • epic game.i finished it like 3 months ago

  • Stop this at 0:00, go to rainymood . com and start the video.

  • @roxasthekeyoffate65 Haha, well done on the suggestion. I did this and it was simply awesome.

  • @roxasthekeyoffate65 Did this and I felt ... weird. But hanks for the offer.

  • @roxasthekeyoffate65 + Internets to you!

  • Installing this right now. What to expect?

  • ah l'époque des boites en carton, avec un vrai jeu dedans...

j' en ai un exemplaire...que du bonheur.

  • Please god, take sierra, blizzard, eidos..what ever u want...and give us back TROIKA!

  • @NzXII

I would offer EA to God too, but I doubt he'll want it

  • @NzXII Hey now, don't let yourself succumb to your greed for thumbs up. Back in the day(1996-2004ish), Blizzard and Sierra have produced a lot of memorable and magnificent games. Not sure about Eidos though, but the Hitman series is a fantastic game series. Please, don't mock something just because lost of people mock it too. Don't follow the herd of sheep; generate your own opinions based on your own preferences.

  • @327Magnum You know, maybe he geniunely dislikes those companies?

  • @327Magnum I already said why i dislike those companies, it's MY opn about them...Yes, they created some awesome games, i will not say they didn't...but dude..in the end those big companies got blindfolded by the graphics...and no, not all did...i'm not saying that was wrong enhance the graphics of the game, i'm just saying that they focused the development IN the graphics...but the new games lost something...lost the feelings, lost the love for the videogames....

  • @327Magnum not ALL companies did, see Bethesda how managed to create an awesome game like Skyrim...with awesome graphics AND storyline, systems, etc...then see Battlefield 3 or MW3...are the exactly same thing...just 1942 or CoD but with better graphics and more weapons..."oh, they'r fps" you may say? well...see Diablo III...the exactly same thing but more graphics...it's even worse...less characters but same lineal game, more graphics yeah but who cares?

  • @327Magnum they added how many? 5 more systems? is that worth for a 3rd game? Come on... i'm not saying that the named games sucks just saying that the companies focused their work in something that, in the end, doesn't matter. Go and see Indie games...world of goo, minecraft, creavures, beat hazzard, aquaria, super meat boy, etc..THOSE are games wich have GREAT ideas...great games, and see their graphics...a game doesn't need graphics to be a good game.

And hitman was a grat game.

  • @327Magnum The society have to advance, have to look to the future...but if you or whoelse wants a future filled of greatness, filled of masterpieces like Arcanum...you have to look to the past, to don't do the same errors.

  • @NzXII Fail, Sierra is Arcanum publisher.

  • @TheDilinus Yeah well and did an excellent job, huh? Still, I meant to take every single game company if he wants ;d

  • That was really something. Unique rpg with unique world, that wasn't just another Tolkien variation about killing princess and marrying a dragon. and @TheDilinus we all already have Arcanum we want part 2 that's why we miss Troika

  • @NzXII

I wanna keep Valve. They make TF2.

  • This and the Tarant theme gives me shivers up my spine and makes me tear up. So beautiful and graceful.

  • Amazing game, amazing soundtrack, amazing depth of story.... they don't make them like this any more. Sadly.

  • to this day best game i ve ever played along with heroes 3

  • Look up for the arcanum 2 petition and sign it, its on google.

  • best setting ever (steampunk)

  • Holy shit

  • Great game.

  • A very nostalgic song except that it was repeated forever

  • HOLY SHIT. Nostalgic as fuck.

  • I hate this song. It get me way too down and fills me with dispair... Just like the game. Top 10 RPG of all time, top 5 if it wasn't for the crappy combat.

  • Full soundtrack (22 pieces!) is available for FREE download from the composer page: Benhouge -dot- com -slash- arcanum.

Actually it was never released on CD.

  • can someone please tell me what dis music genre is exactly called? a friend told me that its called "Neo classic" but im not sure if its true because i cant find much music of this kind under that genre :/

  • Comment removed

  • @BandOffLimits

    This is string quartet.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @BandOffLimits neoclassical music, I think, is the time of classical music that followed baroque. From what I understand, after Wagner "invented"/popularized character- and event-tied themes for classical music, that's about where neoclassical music started. It's that sort of classical music that's closest to film and game soundtracks, for obvious reasons. Arcanum's ost is chamber music I think, which has been around from the baroque period onward. So your friend is both right and wrong I guess.

  • Hail the Steam!

  • I miss games like this.

  • the best game in this world!

  • I have the best idea ever. Make a remake of arcanum with dragon age origins engine and combat and graphics and arcanum's story skills and character development. Impossible but a great idea in my mind...

  • Very underrated game

  • I can never get tired of this music. Every time I listen to it, I feel so sophisticated. I love having it playing in the background when I'm just sitting around.

  • This game is just... so .. epic.

  • This is an anthem for people who knows about games, this is steampunk in all senses pure steampunk.

  • #1

  • I want this played at my funeral someday.

  • google 'good old games' - fallout, planescape, BG etc tc

  • @mtruelove1 nwn lionheart divinities shame that most of them are gone and nobody wants to recreate them

  • Best... Game... Ever.

  • Back in the day where the graphics sucked, but the game was awesome. Everything had you believing it was real. These days, the graphics are awesome but the actual game sucks.

  • @TheLadyKaylah not all of them sucks, halo and mass effect still falls in the epic category tis just the game these days are fast paced and not really that adventurous both mind and game cos of the spoilers

  • @anonymous133711

    Halo? Really?

  • @Ethesen yah really , halo is good , only a douche "mainstream faggots" will say "oh halo are for losers"

  • @anonymous133711

What does Halo have to do with RPGs?

  • @Ethesen its a sci fi fps not an rpg

  • @anonymous133711 I think you got that wrong. Only douche mainstream faggots will say "Halo is win, man!" You can't compare a shallow FPS to the ridiculous depth a well thought out RPG has.

  • @roxasthekeyoffate65 nah my point is "mainstream mentality" or in short haters of the mainstream

and btw fps is different genre to rpg

    lrn2read

  • @anonymous133711 thats why he said you cant compare them idiot..

  • @LapKidProductions

look who's the idiot, please read the comments before commenting

  • @anonymous133711 I dont get it what comment am I supposed to be reading to say I'm wrong :L?

  • @LapKidProductions the whole conversation in short read all my comments, seriously you sounded like an idiot who doesnt know what hes talking bout

    just a tip

unless you're a samefag then i wouldnt argue anymore

  • @anonymous133711 The point is you said halo and mass effect still fall into this epic category which is putting it in the same Genre as RPG. I just don't see when you said halo and then argued that it's good, and you need to stop throwing out all these insults dude :p

  • @LapKidProductions nah i never put them in the same genre as rpg, lol what a dumbass thanks for the entertainment 3/10 nice try but not enough

  • @anonymous133711 Ok well now you're just saying things that you think make you sound smart when really it's just showing you have nothing to say.. Inbox me stop commenting on video please

  • @LapKidProductions nah we started the convo on the vid comment so stick to it, now that i have proven your logic wrong i bet you're embarassed n wants to run away to the inbox so people wont find you and your statements retarded for spurting words without knowledge of the situation

  • @roxasthekeyoffate65

    > "Douche mainstream faggots"

    > Stereotypical arrogant PC gamer alert.

  • @WinnerTakeAllBLAGOPS unfortunately, I'm mainly a console gamer. I was actually quoting the poster I was replying to.

  • Epic song, epic game! I have an amazing story about this game. When i first got a computer i was just a kid, like 8-9 years old, i went to buy a video game. I liked the pictures on the pacaging of this game. I came back home with the best game ever. Still, I have the game in my room, right next to the medals i won, standing like a trophy, a reminder of what a good game is.

  • This game was so unique in so many ways. We need more games like this. I'm tired of eye candy with no content.

  • @fabioeoch play xenoblade for wii

  • Takes me back, brings a tear to my eye just listening to it again :')

  • My friend bought me this game for my most recent birthday...

Next time somebody pulls a gun on him, I'll be taking a bullet, due to this game being so damned good.

  • May be there are some patches, but when i played the game i guess it was very disballanced. You just need to up your strenght to 20, get the armor and sword and you're going like a rambo. I don't even remember the last boss.

It's just like Oblivion. You get invisibility over 100% and the rest game is a formality.

  • @thfFromRussia Well the idea behind that makes sense. The game allows you to be a big dumb brute or you can play the game from a totally different standpoint. Try going through the game as a persuasion master and only using body guards, or as a thief who sneaks by his opponents... That will certainly add a challenge to the game.

  • one of the best and most special games i've ever played... what an atmosphere..

  • This game is just another reminder of what really makes a good game.

  • Reminds me of Ralph Vaughan Williams.

  • damn this game was so great. Now that I'm trying to make music for games, I truly appreciate the conceptual constraint of nothing but string quartet for Arcanum. A full orchestra with all that tired 'epic' feeling would have not added anything positive to the gaming experience imo.

  • This is the reason i am on GOG.

  • Heh... now i want to play Arcanum again...

  • This must win eurovision not the shit from Azergaydjan XD

  • When games where more than speed runs, power leveling your noob friends, so they can play with every one else... How I miss the days. I would love to get the sequel....... to bad it's not going to be finished.....

  • @fuckyou9986

    They were making a sequel?

  • @fuckyou9986

    They were making a sequel?

  • When games where more than speed runs, power leveling your noob friends, so they can play with every one else... How I miss the days. I would love to get the sequel....... to bad it's not going to be finished.....

  • going for my 20 playthrough today

  • Not too long ago, I got Arcanum off GoG.com, and I have to say this main theme has been one of the things about the game that has really stuck with me.

  • Holy shit guys, I just found Arcanum's music score sheet, google it, just type in Arcanum Music Sheet and Ben Houge will show up, happiest day of my life

  • I still have orginal box with this game :) Looks Perfect.

Where is Arcanum 2? I want buy it too.

  • To my sorrow, so many of these games passed by my notice due to never seeing them in stores, being too poor to buy them or never even knowing they existed. I wish I could have experienced the Golden Age of Gaming ......here's hoping I can find these games on amazon.....

To those who were fortunate enough to experience these games, rock on! \m/

  • @vampirehunteramanda gog, Good old Games, google it.

You can buy them all there.

  • @vampirehunteramanda Forgot to add, you can still buy Arcanum, Fallout, BD and many other PC classics retails, at least you can in my country.

  • Hey,guys, who have got the rights for Arcanum TM?Maybe, somebody must resurrcet this game?

  • Brilliant game. One of the best RPG's ever.

  • Being a violin player that misses the old days...this almost made me cry

  • Since being introduced to gog.com and finding some old games (that actually seem to work on Windows 7... Mainly Baldurs Gate and Planescape Torment), I cannot get enough of oldschool RPGs...

  • 3 Assassins Creed fanboiz watched this .....

  • @Delenoe I like old good games, especially Arcanum and Planescape:Torment, but still think that AC is not that bad :)

  • Absolut fantasitsches Musikstück,ich habe mir den gesamten Soundtrack von der Homepage von Ben Houge heruntergeladen und auf meinen MP3 Player überspielt, ist die perfekte Musik zum einschlafen....

  • Obsidian is keeping the fire alive.

  • @coscientology obsidian's only fire's comin from their fart. other than that arcanum is a missing gem.

  • One of the best videogame songs I heard in a lot of time.

  • WHERE'S MAH FUCKING SEQUEL?!?!?!

  • Man, I love this song. And the game. And pretty much everything made by Troika. Just the other day, I got Tim Cain to send me the Troika logo as an EPS file so I can get it tattooed on my arm. I'm studying computer graphics, hoping to work with video games, and I thought I would commemmorate the company that motivated me to get into the gaming industry.

  • @Fillchiam I hope you do well. We need more people like you :)

  • @Ryomha11251 Thanks. :) I got the tattoo last saturday!

  • @Fillchiam Good luck with that, mate. I hope you'll end up making Arcanum 2. :)

  • @Fillchiam I wish you luck with that. I hope you manage to get into the industry and bring us many great games such as Arcanum, which is my favorite game of all time.

No game has ever stunned me such as this one did.

  • best game and soundtrack ever!

  • I definitely miss this kind of quality. I'm sick of achievements, internet walkthroughs and co-op multiplayer.

  • @bvanvoris RIGHT ON BROTHER!!

we are a dying (Oh so dying!) breed.

  • @bvanvoris

well, multiplayer not being the best, it was still pretty much fun playing custom maps with my friends just for shit and giggles

  • @bvanvoris There were Internet walkthroughs and co-op. But single player was awesome, clever, varied, interesting and fun without being stupid. That's what I miss.

  • @bvanvoris Ironically enough Arcanum supported multiplayer...

  • @bvanvoris

There should be more co-op multiplayer games. The things you should really moan about are >competitive< multiplayer games where the only goal of the players is to compare the size of their cocks in form of ranks, points, kill death ratios, items/equipments and achivements - or in case of a failure insult the human opponents or start using cheats in order to orgasm on ruining their fun.
