The reason that a keyboard isn't shown, is that a VCS3 was designed purely as a Voltage Controlled Studio (VCS) with 3 Oscillators hence the VCS3. the keyboard was only made available several years after the initial release, as EMS didn't think the end user would need a keyboard.
