    very well done

  • Yeah, cool physics stuff! :)

I have created a few physic effects with Blender. 8)

  • what's game its it

  • wowww very nice!

  • I WIN!

  • superbe!!!!

  • I FUCK AROUND WITH 3DSMAX I FUCKIN LOVE THIS CREATION AND ANIMATION VERY CREATIVE MINDS AND ALLOTA TIME TO CREATE ALL THAT SHIT GOOD JOB GUYS KEEP IT UP KEEP CREATING AND BEING CREATIVE

  • Very nice! I really liked the end :D

  • @Ri4tje MWAHAHHAHHHA

  • Cheers, that was nice!

  • ähh? this is fucking nice? 5*

  • WOW O.O

  • Tutorial please!!!

  • liked and faved!

  • This was the first video i have ever watched when, i didn't just think WOW. i said WOW. this is truly amazing!

  • nice but notvery hard to make. I don't know how you made the water. probably with realflow or something..

  • 0:23 didnt see that comming

  • 2.6 weeks of rendering? Oh my fucking god, dude this is awesome, I would not do that for 3 yeers and 2.6 weeks of rednering

  • If you guys want an intro just msg me and ill tell you the details :D

  • Heii i have a problem ( I'm swiss i dont speak good english ) also ... my problem is i want that my " DOmino" goes on the Helix ( Helix is on the Stairs ) But when they are on the Helix they aren't Perpendicularly .They become diagonally inward

    HELP Thanks :)

  • @Alessio95italy Try rotating the domino's axis: watch?v=Ew9E-IQ3q2Y.

    Thanks for asking :)

  • @AquaGeneral I've got another question.. .for my new project.... I've made a video ... look please

    /watch?v=FPMAEP60m2k

Thanks a lot when you can help me

  • I like !

  • i bet that took 17 hours to render

  • how did you do the water effect?

  • The flood took me by surprise! nice touch!

  • Nice, the way the water splashed out looked hard to animate, but one thing i find in common with water manipulation in animation videos is that it lacks the mist created when water hits the ground and ends up rolling across the floor. The mist is probably hard to create, but is it possible to add friction as well as prevent the water seperating into individual drops? It has a much stronger "stickiness" than most animations show.

  • @Gordonverno I could have added mist/splash, but even to this day I honestly have never tried it. Real Flow 4 seemed to have a slightly more difficult way of creating mist particles, with the need to use scripts, I just never got around to learning that.

  • I really like that flood at the end!

  • that is fuckin awesome!!! would you mind sending me the template?? :D

  • @AquaGeneral Thanks :) Its really nice by the way :D

  • How did you light the scene? :)

  • jejejeje i really like it =) keep it up!!!

  • Nicely

  • awwesooomweee

  • OMFG!!! that was fucking sikk!

  • thats sick ;D

  • That was amazing good job

  • is there an easy way to make stairs? because its a real pain

  • This is sick !!! I have a lot of respect and honour for you. I wish I could make the same, but I can't :(. It's too difficult :D

  • 400 hours rendering.. WOW! =D

  • Does your computer have the ram frOm heaven, or did you just spend the last 4 years of your life watching this render?

  • Epic....Amazing...;)

  • sooo good but screw that render time and work hours lol :P

  • This is insane.

  • Looks really cool

But i would give the water at the end a higher resolution ;)

  • WTF u spent 18 days rendering this!

    omg..

  • Pretty.

  • fuck that is coool

  • did you make each domino indvidual

  • Sweet.

  • how did you do the water-like substance

  • @IICBeattieII I used Real Flow

  • cool, and fluid!

  • Well done my friend..Imagination + Hard Work = Perfect job

  • let guess 5 hours of rendering

  • FUCKING EPIC!

  • How do you make the stairs and dominoes so prufect?

  • @HardC0reGaming - With a computer that is what comes out, it takes effort to make it not perfect ;)

  • @AquaGeneral sorry did not know English speakes first of all good video what I wrote was that you say I'm wrong but I see that you stay well beo mui ISISTAN realistic course of this or any one you are a beginner cyberspace?

  • @yobani1989 When did I say you were wrong? Unless you are referring to when I said "With a computer that is what comes out, it takes effort to make it not perfect"? If that is the case what I meant that as in I copied and pasted the dominoes, so they were placed with exact spacing. If I wanted to make the positioning of each domino slightly off it would actually work out to be slower to do.

And yes, I guess I would still call myself a beginner

  • @AquaGeneral ooo sorry I'm sorry ents an idiot for not knowing how to get things right lol thanks for nothing ((but do not answer me or you're a profecinal aprendis're just for me you are a profecional but get me out of doub

  • @AquaGeneral ooo sorry I'm sorry ents an idiot for not knowing how to get things right lol thanks for nothing ((but do not answer me or you're a profecional aprendis're just for me you are a profecional but get me out of doubt

  • Beautiful...

  • dude that is sick can u plzz filefront the .c4d file its soo sick i need it

  • Do i need to buy stuff on C4D to get cool things like this ??

  • 18days :O. Do u need to keep ur computer on ???

  • @1WeeJonnyCfc1 - Of course ;)

  • @AquaGeneral can u get them for free ?

    no

  • @1WeeJonnyCfc1 - As in the program? If so yes, but I wouldn't recommend that.

  • @AquaGeneral is this for the buying side of things or leaving on for 18days ? lol

  • @1WeeJonnyCfc1 - That was for the buying side of things

  • @AquaGeneral how much roughly ?

sorry for all these questions just new to C4D

  • @1WeeJonnyCfc1 - For the Core version it's around $1000. On the site Maxon.net you can find out more information after you click "Order".

  • @AquaGeneral wow thats A LOT !!!!

    and ive subbed

  • Epic i cant even render into a AVI cuz i just get an error saying Unable to write file

  • #OMG 445 hours ==

  • neato!

  • Amazing :) 10000000000000000000/10

    not kiding

  • Amazing!

  • amazing. is impresionant. Very ood work. You have to take many time in these proyect. 10/10

  • I subbed and made a video like this kinda because it inspires me!

  • The ending was epic. Very nice 5 stars

  • I love the global illumination you did there. Inspiring! :) Camera movement is a bit jerky at times, but the ending is great! Didn't see that coming hehe.

  • WOW 445 HOURS GEESE!

  • Very Nice i have a tutorial on how to set up the basic domino animation on my channel.

  • steller!!!! 5/5

  • GREAT

  • omfg that was very sick! 5*

  • thats awesome! and the camera movements is fine! 5 stars and favorited!

  • great ending.

  • UMM...AWESOME! Those specs are amazing! 200 hours for a render? Understandable at HD, but dude, it's time to upgrade. A single frame like that for me would only take a couple of minutes with Mental Ray in 3DS Max.

  • Remember that I am using GI, area lights, ambient occlusion, and area shadows. The polygon count of the water is over 1 million.

Keep in mind I did try to optimize the scene a lot, but in the end my brother made me stick with what looked best as I didnt have to worry about the render time too much.

  • Yeah, the water is understandable, but maybe not 200 hours for me. Maybe my renderer is faster, because even with Global Illumination, Ambient Occlusion and Ray Traced shadows, I doubt anything like that would take so long for me. I might be wrong, but still...

  • One thing I am sure of is that mental ray is much slower than Advanced Render 3. Though this is okay because mental ray is suited to photorealism.

I will render a quick test inside of Maya to compare the two together.

  • Ok. Do you think render speed would be different in 3DS Max? Also, what are your hardware specs?

  • There should be a small difference between 3DS Max and Maya since, as far as I know a renderer if integrated properly should function the same in any application,

    Specs:

CPU: Intel E6850 @ 3.6GHz (this might be different to the overclock I had when I rendered)

    RAM: 4GB 800MHz DDR2

    GPU: GeForce 9800GTX 512MB

    OS: Windows Vista 64bit

  • I have a 2.4 Ghz Dual Core Processor (how may cores has yours got?) 4GB of RAM, ATi Radeon HD 2400 XT (a terrible graphics card, but doesn't affect the render) and Vista Ultimate 32 Bit. If yours is single core, mine is faster :D

  • :D

    I have a dual core.

  • Yoda voice: "Owned, I have been :D"

  • I have just rendered the mesh with the default grey material with defualt lighting and it beat C4D by about 20x. C4D is very hopeless at handling complex geometry, this is most likely why it took me an hour per frame.

  • Ah, well that explains a lot. Well, it's been fun having this petty argument with you :D Imma subscribe btw. Cya!

  • Haha! At least I realize that it's a litte more Cinema's fault than my own.

I'll do that same to you :)

  • @anim8ordude i have triple core :) kinda wierd but its AMD Phenom x3

  • wow good hardware

  • wow dude i just started using this program. i was not aware of the power of this thing lol. Fuckin awesome sir. i would walk into the hills of avalon with you.

  • 2.6 weeks!? Man I cant even guess how long it would take to render a 3d disney movie.

  • Did you use GI while rendering. Or area shadows.

  • Actually, I used both. You might also be seeing the AO I used.

  • NIICE!!!

can you make a tutorial on how to do stuff like this? :D

  • Right now I would rather spend time on my current project. I think that there are already lots of areas to learn this by yourself.

There are plenty of different tutorials for RF on the internet.

  • Okay thanks (:

But i have allready searched on the internet.. but i didnt find anyting like what i wannet to do :/

( sorry for bad english) :/

  • You will find that not everything you want to do has a tutorial. The best thing to do when you are a beginner is read the documentation that came with the program.

I will PM you a few links.

  • Okay thanks :)

    and nice animations xD

  • Nice Rube Goldberg-ian mess you made there! I liked the soft colors and lighting, and love seeing RealFlow splash about!

  • I agree, epic..it had it all, certainly stuff I know nothing about, I am from the real world where I have to conform to real gravity.

  • That.......was.......EPIC!

  • Love the animation, i thought i was going to be the normal domino trick we all learn when learning 3d i learned with Max and Reactor, until i saw the RF water at the end..nice unique touch

  • Thanks. I try to keep my projects as original I can without getting too off track.

  • really insane!

  • nive vid, only thing, the dominos are a bit slow to fall

  • that is awsome, i want to know how to do it!!!

Do you know how to make the physics dynamics to work good on cinema 4d.

I am trying to make a physics wall, but everytime in cinema 4d when i get the blocks to stack, the blocks over the other blocks go through the blocks.

I need to figure out how to make the blocks stay in one position stacjed on top of each other, without the blocks moving around, then i am going to have a boulder smash in to it. I cant seam to get the blocks to stay.

    please help!

  • Hi,

I don't have any experience with the Dynamics Module, because it is outdated I use Real Flow instead. You might also want to have a look at Silver Bullet on Google. I am sure there are some tutorials that cover creating a stable stack that shouldn't be any hard to find.

  • Looks really nice !

    was this done in cinema4D R11 ?

  • Correct.

  • I wonder how long it would take to render this in R10 maybe 500h or so plus it would have artifacts too :D

  • Hey Aqua, this is amazing, I read where youve said its taken 7 months to get to where you are now, and that gives me hope! Keep it up, look forward to seeing more. How did you learn the domino effect? Im looking for a tutorial. I know simple dynamic tutorials but this looks more advanced. Sim

  • Thanks!

The domino effect was actually quite simple. In Real Flow I lowered the friction a little and the scale a little. I don't really think the tutorials would be any different, just try to keep the dominoes small to match the real world scale.

    Good luck

  • This video is absolutely wonderful! My eyes have never witnessed such splendid photonic energy before!

  • Very good work!

    Boheme from the cafe here.

Can I ask how long the render took? not the simulation.

  • I will make this info a little clearer soon.

These are the render times for two halfs of the animation inside C4D.

Shots without water - 35 hours

Shots with water - 200 hours

So the total render time is 235 hours.

  • amazing

  • AWSOME 2 THE MAXX!!!! 5/5
