Not a problem....I own 2 businesses in Oregon, but I am now making plans to move them to Colorado over the next few months. I have several other businesses that I hope to get started in the next few years, but they will also be in Colorado..This is why Oregon has an growing unemployment rate of 12%. Business in Oregon is just unappealing and risky.
Not trying to talk back....I am just stating why Oregon's economy is failing. Us businessmen like to plant our businesses in fertile soil :)
@JordanKyle87 wake up kid im sure you have rich parents but for fuck sakes read a book... just cuz your mom voted Palin dont mean you haveto follow the flock
maybe of what our government is doing to our standard of living.
tell me, why is measure 67 good?
as far as percentages are concerned, we have some of the highest spending, percentage-wise for our public schools compared to other states in the nation, and yet they are still shitty.
Why do you have so much faith in the government and not the private sector?
Increasing Oregon's spending by 37% ($15 billion) in the past four years merely confirms the reality that there is no limit to what gov. officials can do...with other people's money. The voters passed both Measure 66 & 67. Now Oregon has the distinction of being #1, with the highest personal income tax rate in the nation. Such a distinction will not create the new jobs so desparately needed for Oregon's economic recovery. We are burning the roof to heat the house.
*sigh*...he apparently doesn't pay attention to the fact that in order to help the homeless, the jobless, etc...the state needs MONEY...for food stamps, for welfare, etc. *sigh*, i love the spin
I agree with taxing the large corporations, but part of the bill is to tax households that make over 250,000. This means doctors, lawyers and so on. I do not believe it is fair to tax these people of ability more than others.
everyone loses when you tax business
