@Najim1956 My youngest was afraid of Donald Duck in 2007. Then again she was only 3 at the time. At the ripe old age of 5 on another trip, she wanted to hug everybody. Anyone able to read and post messages on this board should be able to handle a visit from a costumed character.
I really liked how it was the song "Be Our Guest" which is one of my all time favorite songs. And the song had new lyrics like "the servie here is never second best & bring a heart that is full of wonder and let Disney do their best "!!! Perfect commerical!!!!!!!!! :)
Disney character would never pay attention to you if you asked them not to. They don't spite people, they don't have that much time. Self-important, much?
If you go to Chef Mickey's they warn you it's a character dining location. There is a grill right next door to Chef Mickey's you could have gone to if you didn't want the characters to come over to you. Stop being jackass and shut up.
The characters have to come over to your table so long as you're sitting there, because you paid, and most people pay to see the characters. How are they supposed to know you're just a bitter, sad person who didn't appreciate their kindness?
@BonnieBunee It's not 'bitter and sad' if that person, like me for instance, is frightened of people in costumes like that. Yeah, I wouldn't be stupid enough to go to Disney Land, but if I did, I wouldn't like it if they randomly came to me in the middle of the park or whatever.
@Maestrojosh87 Just saw your comment about the "blinking" Mickey. Have you seen the video at the Disney Parks channel where they were experimenting with a Mickey who can react and converse with guests the way Crush does in Turtle Talk? The looks on the parents' faces are priceless when he speaks (in the late Wayne Alwine's voice) and uses the kids' names. It's not as big a deal to the kids. Of course he should be able to talk! They wonder why he's never talked before.
Epcot is my all-time favorite theme park.

What's weird is that at one point Mickey winks his eyes (and it looked so real). And I have NEVER seen him do that in real life. Not even once!
Anyway, GREAT commercial, and I like the lyrics to it, too.

Disregard what I just said... there's a show at Magic Kingdom now, where Mickey is able to blink his eyes now.
