@marsh1791 Turbochargers/superchargers are a cheap way of making an engine create more power. They don't increase the performance of the engine, they just push in more gasoline than usual.. More gas=more power.. There isn't any clever engineering involved..
ANYONE can put a turbo in a car and double the power...
There's one thing I don't like about this car.. That is the Twin-turbo.. Lamborghini's new car, the aventador, produces 700 PS (and 0-62 in 2.9 seconds) without using any form of forced induction.. As a side note, I think the interior of this car is over-styled and way to bright.. Lamborghini's styling (interior and exterior) is much more appealing in my opinion..
@AnnoyedWalrus01 I don't get what you mean. Are saying that the Aventador's Twin-Turbo is better than Huayra's Twin-Turbo?
As for the interior, you're clearly don't get the Art in this car. If your saying it's way too bright - that's the point. It's very retro-modern-ish and classic at the same time. Mr. Pagani said himself that every single detail should be look good for it to be placed in a museum. Not everybody will think something like that!
The price compared to the Avantador is just ridiculous! You can by 2 Avantadors for that! Easy choice for me... Avantador better looking, more history, faster 0-100 km/h. Lambo all the way!
@DjRjSolarStar But is a Supra reliable with 1000 HP from a small 3.0 litre engine? I don't think so. How many seconds does it last? Even Formula One engines which are 2.4 V8 and pumps out 750 HP last a few races, and furthermore they are made from the finest and intense-bearing materials. So yes, 750 HP from a twin turbo 6.0 V12 is reliable and sensible enough, though the Huayra should have been around 850-900HP considering the fact it's a twin turbo.
@rvind92g Some people drive them around on the street casually, so I would say reliable enough. I think the F1 engines aren't more reliable because it is very important for them to be light, so structural strength is sacrificed. The Supra engine is legendary for being bulletproof (and weighing quite a bit). Not only that, but F1 engines rev much higher, which causes more wear and tear, and they must abide by racing regulations, while most of these street racing Supra's don't go by a single law.
@DjRjSolarStar Yeah casual driving is ok. But people don't buy Huayra to drive casually exactly. So do the modified Supra. You can drive the Huayra everyday hard, yet it's likelihood to break down or the engine blowing off is almost non-existent. A Supra smaller engine block with extremely high pressure turbos will not last these tests. The Pagani Huayra costs way more because of it's interior, materials used, engine, technology, aerodynamics, exclusivity and almost everything else.
@rvind92g Oh I'm not disputing those things. The CF body, leather work, engineering and craftsmanship are all top notch. Its just that I can't afford that, and something like a Supra or any of the other tuner cars is a more reasonable option for me and other middle class individuals. The Zonda costs over 10 times more than a Supra, but will not run a track 10 times faster, so tuners are more economical. If I had a few hundred million to burn though, I'd look into the Pagani.
@rvind92g but then it would have been almost uncontrollable think about it torque also goes up with horsepower so if its 730 or 750 horsepower (the sport version) and the torque is 811ft pounds, 900 horsepower the torque would be like 900 - 1000 ft pounds and the traction control would have a bitch of a time controlling all of that same goes with the tires if they start spinning. for me though, im fine with 750 horsepower and 811 ft pounds of torque
@mrkerpal2 There's actually a relation between horsepower and torque and they are not exactly linear to each other though. HP = RPM x Torque / 5252. Because this car is going to be around for a decade or so, so I think it would be right for it to possess more power to keep it competitive and hold the fort till the new car comes along.
2:10 Thats Olivier Janiak from Poland a journalist, He is really into fashion, his wife is a real model (and a good one). On the side note he knows about 2-3 languages if im not mistaken...
I think Horacio Pagani, absolutely nailed this one to the wall. The original Zonda, was a bit over-played on both the exterior and interior design. The Zonda did not have Veyron performance, so it had not earned the right be visually extreme. With Huayra, the old visual roots of the Zonda, are clearly present, but wrapped inside more contemporary (plausible) aesthetic. And, finally, the interior has "grown-up" into adulthood.
Huayra, just took position number #2 on my list of Supercars.
The Veyron, of course! She's simply unmatched from a speed and (most importantly) a technology standpoint. I appreciate the technology (design and engineering) equally as much as I do the actual speed, power and road (course) handling performance.
If rumors are correct - then look out, because Bugatti got approval from VW to build a successor to the Veyron 16.4. Allegedly, it will top out over 270+ mph.
I now believe I will live to see a 300 mph production supercar!
This is the 2nd most staggering car ever!!! (1st being the Zonda of course) BUT
can anyone tell me what the hell is that black thing in the middle of both seats??????? Sooooo confused, really! Maybe u can pee in it while on the move so u dont have to stop the Nirvana of driving it??? xD
I understand sarcasm;] simply I'm glad that as an Englishman does'nt know that's a Pole, he is able to say something "nice" and if he knew it, he would probably said that he tries to steal it, take off the wheels or something like that /btw Jonny not Jason my mistake ;]
For all the viewers of this film. This guy in the Pagani, which Jason describes is a Polish TV presenter Oliwier Janiak. And Yes, Poland is a developed country and there are many smart and interesting people.
This is the Machine to own if your a collector. The Veyron was an excersise in absurd speed with a great level of comfort and ease, while this is an exercise in speed beauty and ubsurb luxury. This as much as an Art piece as it is a statement for what hypercars should be. In the past decade, the average sports car has climbed to the level of supercar and the average supercar has moved into racing car territory, Pagani's Huayra defines the bar for all hypercars. Hold nothing back.
I feel like driving this with the sun behind you would result in being blinded by reflection or glare and going into a guard rail, maybe there's an option to have all that shiny metal in a brushed finish?
this car is beautiful and all but the Lamborghini aventador has a faster 0-60 time higher top speed and at amuch lower price by a proven brand so in all in all my opinion is and i stres MY OPINION is that the lambo is a better buy just sayin
Yep, almost the same case before, the Zonda and the Murcielago..BUT the sense of drama you get from a Pagani is way different than a Lambo. Pagani is easily the most flamboyant of the supercar makers in the world. And would they have problems selling their cars, which is about 4 times the price of the Lambo. No chance.
alot of people say that they like Pagani interior but personally its why i dont like Pagani. i mean dont want to drive around in somthing with the interior colour of baby sick
