  • Ilokano ka met gayam

  • What "Pilipino"/s can be truly proud of apart from claims who say they are "Pilipino"/s is this:

WE HAVE A FIGHTING SPIRIT IN FACING LIFE in our own country drench in hardships, corruption and degradation.

ANG TUNAY NA PINOY ANG SIYANG MAY TULAD NA PAG-IISIP NI JOSE RIZAL AT ANDRES BONIFACIO NA KAYANG IBIGAY ANG BUHAY PARA SA INANG BAYAN!!!

Both minds are a representative of A TRUE FILIPINO CITIZEN... BONIFACIO IS THE SOUL OF OUR PEOPLE'S FREEDOM and RIZAL IS THE SPIRIT.

    YAN ANG PINOY!!!

  • @iiiEMOTIONiii Such an intelligent answer. I like it. Mabuhay ka, kabayan. :)

Peace!

  • i love akoy isang pinoy!!!

  • i love akoy isang pinoy!!!

I lived in Baguio for over 7 years... i feel like i am a bit of igorot myself. :)

  • we just celebrated our Independence day today in the Church. And our Pastor acknowledged every Filipinos for the hardships and dedications we have in big or small task. And everybody (different nations) was clapping their hands after we sang the Pambansang awit, that makes every Filipinos proud. We even choosed your video in one of our performance.

  • hi Sunny, i used to be Reuben's part time road manager that's why i said that... your voice reminds me of him =) he's a good singer and a good man...like you, he is abroad too, promoting our country through music. again, keep up the Filipino spirit and spread the language, culture and everything pinoy. you are right, other nationalities teach the young ones their language etc. unlike for pinoys :( sadly it's not that way... :(

Anyway, salamat ulit. Di ko po kilala si Ruben Laurente. :) I'll check it out.

Hahahaha. Pero salamat nga talaga.

  • marunong din ako mag ILOCANO ;)

  • @marie101697 Ahhh OK ngarud! Hehehe. Taga-Ilocos ka?

  • 2 people are not proud to be a Filipino . . .

  • @trollwarlordjake Cool! Post mo ang video. :)

  • i LOVE this song ; ) ! meron na rin akong maidadagdag sa jingle nmen for buwan ng wika :)) ! hehe !! but its so good . i love it ! im proud to be filipino :)

  • @makuyetz18 Good for you! Thanks for stopping by. :)

  • sinong niloko,

    di sanay sa wikang banyaga!

    evil /w\

    ok

Nose bleed ako sa wikang banyaga!!!!!

obviously ur a certified post filipino....

  • @jojopogi2 Ohhh hahahaaaa. May tama ka, bro. Ironic nga naman kasi i'm speakign English. I dont know what "post filipino" means, but it sounds like a judgment. it sounds like wala nang pinoy... and that's not fair. as far as i'm concerned kasi, bahagi na talaga ng pagiging Pinoy ang maging maruong ng English, even tough it sounds like a big oxymoron... i guess the evil grin is called for.

Nose bleed ako sa comment mo. hahahahaa.

  • well done! could you kindly tell me your chords that you used, pls!!

  • @sonydvd2010 OK, i got it down in the comments... right below the translations. I hope it helps... kasi i think it's not perfect...

  • sira ulo kaba!!!!

    bakit nag english ka!!!

    bagtet!!!!

Hahahaha. English is not really considered foreign language to us.

    Peace!

  • @edmar267 di mo yata na-intindihan vid post nya, pre.

  • This video is inspirational. It made me realize how fortunate I am to be one.. I am a Filipino and I really am proud.:)

Filipinos are respectful and humble. Filipinos are like bamboo-even if it's tall, it always bows down. :D

  • @edbehagi Thanks! Yes, we are humble in general... i just hope it does not slide down into inferiority complex, coz we're too good for that. :)

  • i'm a 100% pinoy and my girlfriend filipino american .. she like abodo ....

  • @music666able adobo ftw!!! tell her to try the bistek. :)

  • Thanks for your reply, mula ng nakita ko yung video clips mo, i know you're a nice person. I can't blame also some Pinoys going abroad kasi para din mai-angat kanilang pamilya sa magandang buhay. We want also a better life even though we sacrifice our happiness. Regards.

  • If you're already in abroad, you can realize that Pinas is the best for u. Masaya dito brod, maraming kapit-bahay na ka-tong-it!!!

  • @rodneyksido1 Tong-its! Wow i miss that. I also miss mahjong. :) I agree about what you said. I appreciate being in the Philippines more now that I am away... kaya ako, umuuwi ako taon-taon. Someday, I will go back there for good.

  • Filipinos are mostly respectful... we have that so called hospitality that is always in our selves eversince we are born... that is the best mark more than being positive to any situations that we must be proud of being filipinos.=)

  • @argiemae1 I agree about hospitality. We give our best bed to our guests. Di yan nangyayari dito sa america. Kesi hodang matulog ka sa sofa. :)

  • you did great...keep it up..never changed...

  • @mysweetstranger good to hear from you! yes, i remember jonathan brandis. :)

  • nasaan ka na ngayon?

  • @sunnycastillo am here in la union now...i kinda smiled when you said you remembered jonathan brandis...=) how about you? sang lupalop ka na napadpad?

  • @mysweetstranger i now based here in the Chicagoland area. I try to go home to Pinas every year, though. :)

  • @sunnycastillo when are you coming home then? how long have been there? i agree with sir sunny, 'pinas ay talagang kakaiba...akala ko you pursued your acting career...

  • funny how you introduce your song in english, yet you sing a filipino song that talks about the filipino language

  • @Nur8Nurani There is indeed some kind of idiotic contradiction about it. Hahahaaa. But since English is really the second language in the Philippines, it does make sense in the end. :)

  • he's not FLORANTE!!!! Florante is quite old by now.. this guy is still young.

  • @jhemskhy Uhhh... "Florante cover" doesn't mean "I'm Florante." LOL. Thanks for the afirmation though. Haha.

  • hi can you please tell me the guitar chords/tabs of the song? please? thank you in advance..

  • @septemberw8s Hi Sorry I do not have any copy of that... kasi i just searched it online. i think you can get it on google... that's where i remember searching for it.

  • kuya excellent job.... you have a amazing voice.... naglaing ka nga talaga.... proud pinoy.... proud ilokano.... mabuhay ka kuya

  • Speak english fluently but he wrote: ...I am not used to foreign languages... a bit confusing....

  • @denogena Hahahaaaa you have a point, but you know, English is really not foreign language in the Philippines. :)

  • nice... very nice....just got home from my friend's house. we were drinking beer and playing the guitar. We dont know why but we ended up singing this song because of the "San Miguel Beer" commercial way long time ago. Now just searching "ako'y isang pinoy" song here in youtube when i came across this one. Good job man....

  • @stephen2242001 Wahahaha! You know, I was casted to a San Miguel Beer commercial in 1998. But that's not the one where they sang this song. What a coincidence. Thanks for stopping by. Keep in touch! Kantahan tayo over San Mig someday. :)

  • really nice bro. ......

  • Good job. You spoke in English real well but you are saying you are not used to foreign languages. I guess we don't consider English as a foreign language anymore.

  • @MariaHalik the line that says "I'm not used to foreign languages" is actually a translation of the line "ako'y hindi sanay sa wikang mga banyaga." Haha. But you're right; English is hardly classified as foreign language for Filipinos. :) Thanks for the visit.

  • very good...try opening edsa record

  • hey! I'm filipino, born in the US, but most all of my friends, either can only say and understand the language very little basics of our language. I myself, I don't think, am very good at filipino, but I feel like I know the most out of any other Fil-Am that I know. I love that you sang this song, and put the translation on the side. (Is it by Asin?) I am sad that our filipino language seems to be slowly forgotten. But I have hope! Salamat po ulit para sa upload!

  • Good to know about you, man. It is not easy to keep the culture and language when you are not immersed into it. Have you been to the Philippines before? It's good to visit your roots; it makes it real and new.

The song is by Florante. :) Thanks for visiting, and mabuhay ka.

  • Wow!!! So, youre not Filipino, but you speak and understand Filipino/Tagalog, obviously. Are you American? Thanks for the comment. Kudos!!

  • I like you to be a filipino and so nationalistic... hanga ako sayo. Keepit up as your one of the best example. Mabuhay kabayan.

  • Salamat... I do what I can in my own little way top lift the Filipino spirit. It cannot be just Manny Pacquaio or any one individual; if we all do it together, the "pagbabago" can happen.

    -TP-

  • "Kantang di maliligaw" sounds right. Mabuhay ka rin, kabayan!!

  • Ang galing! Proud to be Pinoy!

  • Yehey!!! Ako din!

  • Hi! Father SunC, my "kailian"... glad to see you on YT again.. actually, ive been longing for ur new video lately..

yah, i strongly agree with you. filipinos are party people - - we love parties & reunions; and not to forget other notable traits as: friendly, hospitable and generous.. Mabuhay ang mga Filipinos!!!! So proud to be one....

  • Ahh, thanks! I tend to do videos more for this channel than the other one. it's more difficult to do videos for the other eh.

Yay, pinoy!! hehehe. hospitable is very true.

  • This is one of my fave songs actually!

    Thanks and God bless!

  • God bless you too! Ako'y is Pinoy is not my favorite song, but I love it nonetheless. It stirs some sentiments in me, like nostalgia and stuff. Hahaha.
