Please play all bach with daialy like through all your life with your families.
Pass days make histries on daily efforts by your own with your families joys or human deep breathings.
Variations make fillful many breathingsof your life with your families,I hope so.
Bach line, I feel daily efforts through wiith many breathing in many daily seans and cherrful smiles with chattering like many news ,not dramatic but sometimes like romantic or grand opera in ordinary life on near Bach
Magnificently inspiring performance. Just purchased this particular album after seeing her on PBS. Not just an extremely gifted performer, but also a brilliant intellect. Great how her first child marked her meteoric career lift-off!
I disagree entirely. I went to a live performance of hers, and it was sublime. Plus, both of her albums (The Goldberg Variations and The Berlin Concert) show her ability to delve into a piece and come up with a brand new interpretation.
Sickening. Her playing is as jejune as her complacent mawkishness is nauseating. Watch the Schiff performance (available on YouTube), and learn something.
How could any person of taste and discretion now possibly "go" to the Goldberg Variations' "special place" (at least as played by this person) without now constantly being distracted unpleasantly by the noisome memory of the odious sight of the player's grossly distended belly, which she so proudly displays in a portrait of herself?
This is disgusting. No doubt she is a competent pianist. But what is this kooky insertion of goopy superstition re her career-rise being in some way tied to the dropping of her spawn?!
Glenn Gould is my hero and his Goldbergs mean the world to me..but I'm thrilled with this different and stunning "Brooklyn" version. A beautiful woman and mother. Gorgeous.
I'm always glad to discover someone that can play Bach as wonderfully as Simone can. I'm probably the biggest Glenn Gould fan in the world. I would love to see her in concert.
Grteat video - can't wait to here the full recording. Glimerglass Opera's Orfeo season and Ms. Dinnerstein Bach will make a great week in Cooperstown!
Hi Simone: Beautiful! I still brag up your playing abilities when in musical circles. Thanks for the great instruction years back. -- Cindy Embleton, IntellectConnect. com
On August 15, Simone Dinnerstein will play the Goldberg Variations at the Cooperstown (NY) Chamber Music Festival. Cooperstown is four hours from NYC, and also home to Glimmerglass Opera. Simone will also perform at the Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival on July 25 with the Chiara String Quartet and flutist Linda Chesis.
