I'm sure the '10-'11 chorus members were very happy to finally see the results of their work done months ago. It was worth the wait, and a final great honor for them! Oh, and I'm sure their teacher was happy too! :-)

This wasn't a regular PS22 video. this was done by a professional film company.in June. That's why the 2011 chorus Mr B had to get permission to post this on the PS22 website. They probably took footage of PS22 singing and spliced into the professional footage

@drmayeda1 Per the description above (above top comment....and pulldown "show more") the video was a colloboration with Nela Films and the PS22 choir. The entire video aired on the PBS long time children's favorite 'Sesame Street' yesterday. Not sure I understood what you meant about splicing footage into the professional video and receiving permission.

Also in the top comments Mr B had to get PERMISSION from Nela films to post the video on the PS22 you tube channel and website. Check out PS22 sings Star spangeled Banner at Madison Square Garden (Pro Version) This belongs to the New York Rangers hockey team. Someone from the Rangers sent that video to Mr B and gave him permission to post it on the youtube channel

@drmayeda1 When a video is on a network television. Some entity will own the rights. Youtube removes videos posted by user without the rights or permission. Makes sense that PS22 had to receive permission to post. Your post that PS22 spliced the video is what I question. Unless I misunderstood the post. It comes off as PS22 spliced into a professionally done video, inserted a clip of the their chorus then had to received permission. My reply was the entire video was a collaboration.

you did understand my post. The editing was not done by Mr B and PS22 but by Nela. PS22 was filmed singing the song and playing with large red balls. Mela took this footage and added it to their film. This is the same as PS22 chorus Red Carpet video. I believe that posted videos were included in the Oscar segment. or other news reports on PS22

I would have explained it as Nela Films shoot the video in different locations. Suggesting splicing into professional footage sounds like Nela had no idea PS22 altered the video and they didn't work together for one video. Bottomline: Great video! Nice to see 2011 again.

Mr B had a different guitar in this one. I wonder if this is one of his or from the production company. I suspect it may be a very expensive guitar because of the swirl pattern

@EisleyGirl per the summary it debuted on Sesame Street today. The PS22 blog has been posting about the collobaration with Sesame Street for a while. Mr. B also noted it during the performance at Newport. It's a beautiful video and as much as I enjoy the 2012 chorus, it so much fun seeing the 2011 again :)
