Big ups, real talk about the freestyle aspect! All the cats today are copycats - plain and simple. Back in the day, we didn't have the luxury of internet and TV so a guy had to be real creative.
thanks for posting this pop master! its so good to learn about our bboy forefathers man its was real back then but we hard core bboys still wanna keep it real! -bboy reppin south japan. cant wait for apache line!!
This is one of those times when people who think they know pretty much everything about Hip Hop Culture, suddenly come to the realisation that they know nothing, compared to the people who started this whole thing, like the guys on this clip and Fabel.
this video is dope guys are right about the original style being scarsely around anymore but like all dances our dance of rocking has and will continue to evolve much respect to the original rockers who would go off at the drop of a dime in the neighborhood parks it is much I what I do myself but being times are different im usualy goin in alone nowadays the bronx and a\harlem has alot less rockers theyre all in queens and brooklyn now...chief69-frc
Much respect to the Original B Boyz. Thank you Mr. Pabon for putting this on. I met you at Rock Steady reunion in 2001, you gave me your number but after a year of trying i gave up. I shouldn't have. I respect what where you guys came from and I love what your body of work is today. I am a B boy. B Boy BLink to be exact, I think back when I met you I was going by Seamless. I was in the Park the other day dancing with Doug and the rest of the modern day NYC FLoat Committee. Respect
I love the realness that comes from New York. This shit needs to be a movie with characters like Lil Zip and Wayne. Wayne reminds me of my boy Mr.Animation from South Central L.A. Straight street legends that still have that energy that can't be duplicated. Chuco
God! That was eye-opening! Fabel, you and Wiggz were the 1st to educate me on what hip hop culture and b-boying was and is, and here you go teaching me again. Keep writing these scriptures. peace.
How old is Wayne rite now? I'm assuming mid 40s if he's been dancing since the 70s, in which case that's pretty f-ing amazing that he can still move like this. Is he still hitting currently and where would I be able to catch him?
Fable just dropped the doomsday bomb!! We need more clips like these.. The Freshest Kids has nothing on this clip - Fable you just opened a can of 'truth' that can never be contained when you let this out. Now we are just hungrier for more!!!
Big ups to my brother Fabel...
