  • Get Smart, Maxwell Smart and Don Adams. Still, respectively, my favorite tv show, secret agent and actor.

Watching scenes from this show never get old, no matter how many times I see them. Siegfried and The Craw have to be two of the most unique villains of all time as well.

  • Don Adams was also the voice for the cartoon character Tennessee Tuxedo. Just ask Mr. Whoopee!!!

  • Max was smarter than he seemed. I bet he mispronounced his name just to piss him off.

  • Bobo rules!

  • It can't be a coincidence that I hear Inspector Gadget here.

  • @EmergeAzureThunder

Inspector Gadget was a take-off of this.

  • @EmergeAzureThunder - Max Smart also played the voice of "Inspector Gadget"

  • not the craw the craw!

  • All Americans look alike to us.....lol

  • they should have called THE CRAW by another name: THE CLAW. ---

  • @albertito006 it is the claw

  • i wish the channel tvland would put the show back in there lineup.

  • This is a funny LOL bit!

  • I ruv this comedy bit!

  • This is the same old story. It amazes me that people are focusing on the Asian man in this skit. Some people say it’s racist because of the way he talks. Well that’s comedy. Stop and think about Max. He plays a blundering idiot white man. But you don’t here me complaining. I am white. I think he is hilarious. All races have great people and bad people. Funny people and sad people. There is nothing wrong with having fun with each others cultures and speech.

  • I'm asian and this was always one of my favorite episodes.

  • cool video

  • an all time favorite of mine

    thanx Max

    cool

  • at one time in life this guy had AMERICA laughing

  • My fellow third generation Chinese-American friend and I laugh our heads off every time we talk about "not the craw, the CRAW!"

  • My fellow third-generation Chinese American friend and I laugh our heads off every time we talk about "not the the craw, the CRAW!."

  • If you keep an eye out, there;s a reference to "The Claw"/"The Craw" in the opening credits of The Get Smart movie.

  • Hirarious!

  • I love this show!!!!

  • NOT THE CRAW, THE CRAW! Yes, the Craw.....

AND THE CHIEF WILL NEVER FIND YOU WITH THOSE ROCATIONS!

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • lol "not the craw, the craw!

  • 2:21 ... wow that sliding window must be made out of some top secret KAOS ultra sound proofing material

  • Thanks looked everywhere for this video

  • I worked for a Japanese company for over 10 years. There is not a phonetic equivalent for the letters L and R in the Japanese language. They do have to learn and overcome a natural tendency to make those apparent linguistic mistakes. Is it racist to highlight that point? Perhaps, not any more than Eminem singing rap.

  • THANK YOU!!!! This is great! How about some Blazing Saddles, too?

  • Im the CRAW you stupid motherfucker....

  • The funniest TV show of all time.

  • "BOBO" in the Philippines means "stupid" he is a funny "BOBO"character...."GET SMART" is great funny tv show.

  • The Craw!

  • Did anyone think it was at all odd that Leonard Strong (the Craw) is NOT ASIAN!?

  • I heard that Max Smart wasn't a real secret agent either!

  • Neither were the actors who portrayed Charlie Chan and Mr. Moto; they didn't have access to asian actors.

  • Really? It seemed like a lot of the Asian henchmen were actually Asian, while the major Asian villains/ characters (Harry Hoo, Dr. Yes) were not.

  • No I didn't think it odd. Back in those days Indians and Asians in movies often were not actually of such ancestry. For instance Charlie Chan was a fictional Chinese Detective in a show and played by an american actor of Scottish ancestry. Now remember Uncle Benny (Kim Chan) from Lethal Weapon 4, he is from China and a favorite character. They now have pleanty of good Asian actors to use now huh.

  • Oh, yes. This is now my absolute farvourite. Thanks, TheClaw15!!!

  • One of the funniest TV scenes ever! It is amazing how the humor of Get Smart is still relevant. I felt they should have used this scene in the movie, it would have made it better.

  • made my day

    all i say

  • This is sooo funny, thanks 4 posting.....pls watch my videos too!!

  • Loved this scene then... love it now. Thank you !

  • not the craw, the craw! lol

  • Aaaahhh him u fool not me!

  • Classic Mel Brooks.

  • "He's bruffing!" Notice, when comparing to the shite Steve Carrel movie, how this clip has some serious spy movie tension to it amid the fondly-remembered gags. The old-time rapport of the Bond villains with our hero is all here too, the idea that what we've got is a disagreement between gentlemen...

  • Absolutely!! The 2008 movie was just awful compared to this writing!

  • i use to watch get smart when i was a kid all the time and the 2008 movie wasnt that bad, i mean have u seen the get smart movies don adams did in the 80's they were awful, and realy the only problem with the 2008 movie was zeigfreed was too serious

  • Siegfried was too serious, the writers just paid passing reference to the things that made Get Smart great, the tried to not have to credit Mel Brooks and Buck Henry in the movie, the jokes were lame instead of timely. Anne Hathaway pulled off 99 very well, other than that, it was awful. And yes, so was the Nude Bomb.

  • Nope.. The 2008 movie was awful.. totally failed to capture the original (like most remakes).

  • elitistttttt

  • Funny clip!

Also funny how the branding iron had to be made in the right reading form - "KAOS" - so the audience could read it, but of course if you used it, you'd be burning backwards and reverse order letters into your victim! It would be quite the mysterious burn for people to decipher!

  • OMFG!!! I think i just poisened the room gets me every time!!! LMFAO!!!

  • I think i poisoned the room.

  • This is classic. The "Craw" is also the hitchhiker on the famous Twilight Zone episode.

  • no you go under the overpass and over the underpass

    XD

  • All americans are alike to us!!!

  • I'm asian and I thought it was pretty funny. Everyone needs to lighten up and laugh once in a while. Its nowhere near as bad as the other asian stereotypes presented in tv even today.

  • @krnhorang85 The fact the actor is white makes it funnier?

  • @krnhorang85 thats true. i think they are worse today then they were b4

  • The dancing in this looks pretty weird.

  • not the craw ......the craw

  • you find racism against asains funny?

  • only on Tuesdays

  • lighten up!!

  • Lefty? LMAO...

  • I'd like to see other episods with Siegfreied.

    Can you ?

  • Not Craw! Clraw!!

My younger brother and I saw this episode in 1965, and we're still laughing about it and referring to it to this day.

  • my vav episode! Not Craw! Clraw!!

  • I remember watching reruns as a kid, this was hilarious.

  • I love the directions! LOL!

  • I'm 55-years old and remember the 1960's as the "Golden Age of TV Comedy" and Don Adams' Maxwell Smart was one of the reasons. I'm an Asian American and have always found this lallative error schtick with "The Craw" very funny. My mother, from Japan, also found it funny. Both of us knew that there was nothing cruel about the joke. People are walking on eggshells about laughing at anything that even suggests race or ethnicity. Insults were not what "Get Smart" was all about. It was just funny.

  • @wickedfeylady

I hate politicaly correct. it ruins both humor and accuracy. the ONLY time I have EVER agreed with the PC nutjobs is with "native american" the rest of the time they are doing ecactly what francess bacon called the "idol of the marketplace" and all 4 idols are impediments of truth which beset mens minds,.

  • @TAPriceCTR You mean Francis Bacon?

  • @wickedfeylady yeah, I suck at spelling... even on things I like.

  • @TAPriceCTR It's ok. You're right, and you know, my family and I make references to this ep all the time. We're not PC crazy or anything, we just try to be nice to people.

  • @wickedfeylady I am so antiPC I make fun of myself as much as anyone else. my favorite joke is:

"how many ADHDers does it take to change a light bulb?"

    "hey, lets go ride bikes"

  • @TAPriceCTR LOL nice, my rommate, one of my best friends, has ADD and we joke about it too.

  • Diplomat's Daughter is a GET SMART Classic. Just in this particular segment, lots and lots of classic lines. "I suppose you can guess what they call me?.... Lefty?" so funny!!

  • Funniest Get Smart Moment...I remember this as a child laughing so hard.

    Thanks for posting.

  • This show set the groundwork for evil Asian stereotypes. Asians are NOT silly buffoons. Some of them are quite serious entertainers like...like...William Hung!

  • And that guy who directed Saw!

  • R.J. Reynolds [Salem] discontinued their sponsorship after the third season (or possibly the fourth, I'm not sure)- Don was "required" by them to smoke on camera during almost every episode in the first three seasons (the better for product identification), and appear in an integrated "comedy" commercial for them at the end of their sponsored episodes. Possibly some of them are in private collectors' hands, waiting to be seen again...

  • lmao xD this is hilarious

  • God, I love "Get Smart"! I watched the reruns on Nick at Nite when I was little.

  • Whenever the Claw appeared I would crack up, thats one of the best episodes ever I think. I also loved that the one with the Lazer Blazer, or as the Craw says Razor Brazer, lol. That had the Craw in it also! I'm so easily amused, thanks for the post!

  • noooo the stereotype is that american's think all asians look alike so it's reversed dummy

  • Good scene but that horrible 60's music has to go

  • wait...horrible music? are you a girl or a boy? lol ;)

  • Yeah that horrible disco music playing upstairs from where they were

  • ahh yess....Asian stereotype.

is this a spoof of Enter the Dragon?

  • Oh yes, very stereotypical. All Asians have magnetic hands, don't they? (rolls eyes)

  • How big is this room? about 10 by 15. Perfect

    lol

  • I saw this episode ONE TIME at my cousin's house and I never forgot the "Lefty" line and "Not the Craw! The Craw!" I still laugh just thinking about it. I'm glad I got to show my 14 year old son a little bit of great comedy! I was waiting for Max to throw the silverware at the Craw!

  • 40 years later and my wife and I still use the CRAW, not craw gag.

  • hahaha yup xD

  • There were way too many gags to point out one super good one.

  • Ah my old nemisis, the Craw...

    Not Craw..CRAW!!!

    Heheheh..I love that gag

  • Note that Max "lights up" a lot in just about every episode, including this one {2:42}- he had to; R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. [Salem] was the show's primary sponsor during the first three seasons, and insisted that Don smoke in at least one key scene [he also plugged their product in "integrated" commercials at the end of the show].

  • You don't happen to have any of the footage for the cig commercials on hand do you? Don continued to smoke on camera in the fourth season, but during the fifth I don't think anyone was seen smoking on the show.

  • This was always one of my favorites of Maxy. The 'Craw' is one of the best of Kaos, second only to Sigfried.

I love the beginning where Max and 99 meet the princess. He describes her as a sweet freckled faced girl. She comes out as a beautiful twenty year old who starts making out with him.

"isn't she sweet? She hasn't changed a bit."

    99 with jealously-"She must've been was quite a 15 year old."

  • This has always been one of my favorite episodes. The Craw, not the Craw. Too funny. It wouldn't fly today. Another example of political correctness ruining all the fun.

  • I think I just poisoned the room lol

  • 0o0o this is amazing, i love it

  • God bress mel blooks and buck henly!

  • lulzzz

  • lol

  • Not The Craw...The Craw! Too funny! Classic.

This was the best TV show. Thanks Man.

  • I think I just poisoned the room...

    roflmao!!

  • Lefty? one of the funniest scenes from the funniest show ever...like many Get Smart shows, it was a take-off on something else. This was from an old Green Hornet show, only the Green Hornet knew his name was The Claw.
