So many great women from his movies are missing, but there were so many, that it wouldn't even fit into this clip. Lynch has such a good taste of giving great roles to perfect and talented women.
The second time I saw FWWM at the theater, and Laura grabbed Harold Smith and breathed, "Fire...walk...with...me", only to suddenly turn that weird purple color... a man in the audience screamed. Not a girly scream, but a low, terrified scream--the scream of someone in a nightmare and trying to escape. I'll never forget that.
@greyeyed123 Agree totally. When I was in line to see Blue Velvet at an old theatre in Nashville Tn, a woman behind me said to her husband, "the last time we were here we saw Last Tango In Paris. But I still don't understand why everyone thought that the line about the butter was so funny".
Great video but how can you compile this without Sherilin Fenn?? the most glamourous of all wiuth her sexy jazz montages & the sticky blood scene in wild at heart. patricia & dearn are close 2nd.
This is a fab clip you've posted. Great job; but what happened to Virginia Madsen from 'Dune', and those other nice ladies from Twin Peaks? I can't spot any of them in the clip!
Wow, I just totally noticed that! lol I'm quick on the uptake apparently. I realized that Lynch uses blondes and brunettes, and they always represent the same thing: blonde = innocence, direction, curiosity; brunette = the unknown, turmoil, confusion in the storyline. That isn't to say that characters that start out that way, end up that way. He really likes playing with juxtaposition - with the women, stories, settings, everything. You never know what's coming. Great job on the video s4! :)

@malkooth One of the many reasons I think the theater experience cannot be matched at home. :-)

I love the scene when Naomi Watts is coming from Canada and shocked to see California. That movie was great.

Clearly, this is "David Lynch's trashy blondes." Not "David Lynch's foxy brunettes"
