The only review where I ever completely disagreed with NC on, I love this movie. So many scenes are gold, especially the ones involving Benedict. Of course probably my favorite is when Benedict kills someone in the real world and starts screaming that "I just SHOT somebody and I did it on PURPOSE", only for people to scream at him to shut up.
hey critic, you screwed up big time. LAH didn't tank at the box office, it grossed over 135 million from a budget of 85 mill. plus, it's a parody, meant to make fun of all the cliches in action movies. i don't get why critics panned this film when Scream did the same thing to horror films pointing out the cliches, but that movie was praised by critics for doing the same thing
You know something occurs to me. If a fictional character played by Arnold gets transported to the real world in which Arnold the actor lives...woudn't that cause some kind of temporal disaster resulting in...I don't know...the fabric of space and time unraveling...or something like that. I mean after all even if they never touched or something the simple fact of the EXACT same person existing in the world would likely cause Reality to collapse and so on...You know?
I don't think the Critic understands that the whole premise of this film is that it isn't suppose to be taken seriously. It's parodying every Schwarzenegger action movie the way the Scary movie films or other parodies have done.
I have no problem with the Critic, but I have to agree: He does not get the point of this movie AT ALL. How does the bad guy killing Ahnold not make sense? He dies, no more Slater movies.
And the best joke of all is when people hate NC just because they don't agree with him. As if our opinions of the movies he reviews are unimportant. Just because he bashes on a movie that you like that doesn't mean you start plotting his assassination. Take it as a joke and move on.

The "Kill Arnold to kill Slater" plan doesn't make sense, because even if they kill Arnold, the movies still exist. If they'd killed Arnold before he made ANY Slater flicks, then it might work, but the flicks and therefore Slater exist, so it isn't gonna work. Maybe if they burned all the prints, negatives and DVDs, but that would take too long.
Now that I watch this again, this HAS to be trolling with all the bits he's leaving out. Like Slater smacking around the villain, but giving him an actual slap on the wrist for something he did to his ex-wife. Funny shit.
I enjoyed this film. At least he didn't say something like, "I'd rather have my eyeballs gauged out with a spork whilst rats slowly chewed away my testicles than watch this film again," because I'd rather watch a rubbish film.

Having seen this movie with the expectation of it being a complete action movie parody, I actually kinda liked it. I wouldn't call it shit so long as you make no attempts to take it seriously. But Conan, though I haven't seen much of it, I couldn't expect to be good, but for it's time it was probably entertaining.
He completely skipped the funny part with "Ive just shot somebody and i did it on purpose". besides its a movie criticizing action movies that are convenient so it has to be convenient. duh. His eye explodes because hes from a world where explosive glass eyes are a good idea. Again it makes fun of action movies. How could you say its boring? iz funy!
This film has a lot of problems, but the inclusion of the Grim Reaper is one of the biggest. One, he walks out of "The Seventh Seal," a film the large majority of the filmgoeing public has never heard of (especially action flick junkies) and two, he just is there as a sloppy plot device to tell Danny how to save Jack (and really, Danny could have figured it out himself). And then he's just left wandering around with no resolution to him being in the real world. Very poorly done.

Is Nostalgia Critic really that stupid? I remember this movie as I was a kid, and even then I understood that this movie is a parody. And what's up with those pervert remarks everytime a kid is talking to an old man? First couple of times it was funny, but now it looks like he's paranoid, and seems to see hidden homosexual or pedophilic intent where most people wouldn't.
Actually the reason why Benedict (the villain) explodes is because his red eye is a bomb, they say it earlier in a movie. So it's actually pretty feasible that when Slater shot his eye, it would blow up.
That would be pretty kick ass, though: having a movie about just being able to summon fictional characters in the real world. Now THAT would indeed be awesome.

This film has a lot of problems, but the inclusion of the Grim Reaper is one of the biggest. One, he walks out of "The Seventh Seal," a film the large majority of the filmgoeing public has never heard of (especially action flick junkies) and two, he just is there as a sloppy plot device to tell Danny how to save Jack (and really, Danny could have figured it out himself). And then he's just left wandering around with no resolution to him being in the real world. Very poorly done.

People, I have seen this movie and fucking love it, I just finished this review and fucking loved it.
The Nostalgia Critic is a Character, (Doug Walker knows his shit) Nostalgia Critic is often seen as an Over the top character, even in parodies. Its funny that the people who now criticizing him, are now the bigger joke. (its like Bum reviews how he always starts off saying 'This is the best movie ever") If you don't like stop watching this video Christ, Now excuse me, I'm off to go see Hamlet.

Is Nostalgia Critic really that stupid? I remember this movie as I was a kid, and even then I understood that this movie is a parody. And what's up with those pervert remarks everytime a kid is talking to an old man? First couple of times it was funny, but now it looks like he's paranoid, and seems to see hidden homosexual or pedophilic intent where most people wouldn't.

Actually the reason why Benedict (the villain) explodes is because his red eye is a bomb, they say it earlier in a movie. So it's actually pretty feasible that when Slater shot his eye, it would blow up.
