  • Ernie is displaying 'hypocritica; tears and liberalism.' It's always easy to cry about something when (1) it's not your problem; (2) you're not the one who has to solve the problem or pay to have it solved; and (3) it's someone else who has to pay for it.

Ernie should run for office. He has a career waiting in politics.

  • Ernie might have just been using his imagination, but always knew that the snowman wasn't really alive.

  • ernies such a punk

  • poor Bert! x( he lost his hat and scarf

  • ахахахаха))))))))))

    вот блин круто-то!))))))))))))

  • well @Webkninzrocks400 it is frank oz u no

  • Bert sounds like fozzie bear!!!

  • The background music ruins the nice moment where Ernie clings to the snowman for dear life at 1:50. It just doesn't fit.

Aside from sawings14, this is also on the new DVD "Sesame Street: 40 Years of Sunny Days."

  • According to Muppet Wiki, this sketch appears as early as episode 3119, originally broadcasted on April 15, 1993.

  • The DVD has it as early as Season 12, I think.

  • About those extra sound effects and music, it's been added on recently, hasn't it?

  • I love the irony of that.

Two puppets explaining that they are alive and a snowman isn't. :p

  • 0:15 was funny.

  • Sawing14s just posted this sketch without the background music! Just what we all needed!

  • It would blow Bert's mind if he found out he was little more than a sock puppet!

  • hey Bert has a nice looking jacket

  • "maybe he breathes through his carrot bert" hahaha :)

  • Hey, does this snow man groove?

  • I will admit that the background music is corny but that was a funny sketch. HAHA. Ernie took almost all of Bert's winter garments and put them on the snowman.

  • Why the hell is there distracting music on this thing? i mean, at the beginning and end its okay, but not over top of them talking, jeez! and it wasn't there in the beginning---I can't tape this like it is, I just can't stand that.

  • Anybody know a program that allows to take away music?I have this same sketch and I know there is such a program because Sawing14s has it.

  • very good i loved it

  • Looks like Ernie has been watching too much of Frosty the Snowman.

  • I haven't seen this segment all the way through. Who cares whether or not it has corny background music. Thanks for putting it up.

  • Now to find the original version without the corny background music.

  • Yeah, the underscores make it less classical.

  • Things kids enjoy nowadays is goofy sound effects and music.
