Nice catch. Still amazes me that so much of the Melbourne suburban system is unfenced. You'd never get a shot like that in Sydney; well certainly not an R Class.

R766 has been gauge converted to standard gauge so you may well get some shots of her running in Sydney one day. Although you're right about having trouble finding an unfenced area mext to train lines in Sydney.
