  • @BestivalFan Not actually true...the Ali G character first appeared on channel 4's "11 O'Clock Show", which began in 1998..."The Day Today" aired in 1994.

    Not that Cohen necessarily got the idea from this, but he was hardly the first person to mock hip hop culture either.

    "Angry Boys" has a rapper character that is more likely to have been copied from Fur Q & JL B8T from "Brass Eye"...albeit 15 years later.

  • No, Green Wing was shit. Fucking shit, actually. Don't try and act like I have no taste in comedy because I thought Green Wing was shite. It was just stupid irritating characters, only one of which was mildly humours at times. Nearly all its jokes were just trying to be really random to be funny, which meant not having to write a very good comedy. Oh and your last sentence there... I didn't understand what you meant, but if you want to "dig shit" on your own that's fine.
