  • Good on ya mate:)

  • This guy's fighting in his fucking pajamas.

  • I think you are just not used to his style. I think given another 2 or 3 more rounds you will be able to throw him back.

  • Why are these people clapping? Looks like regular wrestling to me. Gross belecose with No finese but that's just me talking. Opinions are like buttholes...everyones got one. Thanks for letting mine rip...hope it don't smell too bad. :0)

  • Wow! Great video. Excellent technique and a good attitude about it. This is a great demonstration of Chinese Martial Arts.

  • Man those people were nice they seemed as if they were humble of the times they threw you down not at all cocky about it heck great video it shows both methods of throws works. Internal and External grappling but the extensive amount of training is the true difference not the type of martial art you train with in.

  • man wtf ....... street fighting better then this shit LOL dang learn the way of Street fighting

  • they lost the essence of taiji

  • a question, without kidding. Why all Chinese martial arts, in first sight, ABSOLUTELY don't consider ground fighting?

  • @acquafredda75 In ancient time, in battle fields, if you fell on the ground, your chance of getting killed increased exponentially as soldiers fought with swords, sabers, spears back then. This is the same reasons why push-hands and other upright wrestling arts award high score for making your opponent to lose balance or fall to the ground. Only in modern time that ground fighting is considered useful.

  • @WuSuanSo

    I agree

  • @acquafredda75

Because chinese dont kick a person when he is down.

  • Why do some westerners always bow with there hands together when there in China and Taiwan when they greet us, dont they know thats not a chinese custom unless your a buddhist monk.... also some times they bow with there hands at there sides.....but we not japanese or korean lol Its kind of funny but also a little insulting, western stereotype of asian culture or innocent ignorance?

Just thought i'll bring it up since that was what we were joking about while at Beijing university

  • In China, bowing before a martial arts match is different from bowing as a greeting socially. But how is it that you cannot see that the person who first made the 2 handed bow in this video is Chinese, while the westerner kept his hands at his sides? Do they all look the same to you?

  • a lot of western people don't know the difference between japanese, korean and chinese cultures. its honest mistake, but yes, it is still funny

  • @anhkhoinguyen i think the gentlemans intention is to show respect, which is good.

  • @anhkhoinguyen you sad little self righteous turd. He can only do what he is taught. Why think you are so clever because you grew up in a culture and know the customs. He just needs to learn. I live in the U.S., and I see those that happily insult those that don't know proper U.S. customs when they visit; you are like them. Please be quiet. The rest of us are learning and you are no help.

  • The application side of Internal arts I feel like a lot of people is very much neglected in the uk.Pushing Hands Hard Chi Kung, silk reeling and the applications within the forms, often are left out. I some times believe many instructors just have a knowledge gap. As a practioner you have to further skill by ethir seeking out the additional tuition or seeking out additional teachers. Too much forms in Tai Chi. But I guess it what you want at the end of the day.

  • Yes it is even worse in Australia, however in some areas we are lucky to have access to some great Wushu masters, however it is a big country and ultimately many Martial Artists are still in the dark when it comes to the applications of internal martial arts. Nice video, many thanks for sharing it, this video is one step closer in educating people to just how effective this great style is!

  • Well-said. In my opinion, the mark of a (truly skilled, and perhaps "indoor disciple") is their understanding of the martial nature.

It all goes back down to the foundations -- which, if aren't correct, will be obvious once you start fighting.

  • Where did you learn tai chi for wrestling like that, can you learn it in just any city in china, I mean we see the forms very morning but how do you find a teacher to learn more than just the form

  • Finally some better application of inner martial arts. Thanks a lot for sharing this.

  • need more of this type, actually trying to use it and apply it

all martial arts must have some sort of sparring

  • Thanks for sharing...love to see more like this

  • very cool.I wish I could learn Taiji from a truly knowledgable master. i hear Chen village is getting a little commercialized these days...what's the rate per day currently? including housing and training and food? last time i checked it was 100 bucks a week or something like that. i forget the exact rate.

  • wonderful stuff. Looks like you had a great time.

  • but its not Chenvillage, its wen xian, isn´t it ?

  • Chenjiagou, Wang Xi An's school. I recognize it by the carpet. Chenjiagou belongs to the Wenxian county. Nice clip,

    Cheers,

    Pawel

  • Yeah thats me in the Black,This is Chen Tai Chi. They have a big emphisis on the combat side. They do a lot of Pushing hands and a lot of wrestling and crampling techniques.

I dont think enough of this training is done in the uk, I think in the uk people are too scared of getting injured.Anyway i hope you enjoyed the clip.

  • Hey who did you spar in the video?

  • great clip and shows how effective kao is, you must have had a great time over there. thanks for sharing :)

  • @smalltins Good on you for getting out there. You got thrown more, but what you will have forever is the technique that guy used against you and you'll have it in slow motion to watch over and over again. There is a precise triangulation which he uses.

  • Are you another of those guys yourself ?

  • Me likes :) Thanks for uploading!

  • I wish all martial arts were like this, nice people incredibly humble

  • It's wonderful to see some Chen locals on video. Thanks for the post! At whose school were you training?

  • That was cool.

  • The man wearing blue displayed the virtue of having an integrated, Whole-Body mastery of two things of which I am aware of:

    (1) He was truly "SONG", i.e., RELAXED!

    (2) His Horse Stance is FIRM & SOLID.

  • Thats pretty good,at least you did that exactly there is nothing to be embarrassed about(next time:)

  • Nice uprooting at :57! If you're the guy in the black, you've got nothing to be ashamed of, the Chen village people are awesome. Nice with the dropping throw too. Tai Chi is an endless pursuit, always keep it up, peace.

  • This from my visit in 2005, the carpet is still grungy and the toilets well they ahev to be seen to be belived. The Practioners are amazing though. humble, dedicated and true to there art.I have lots os footage I will have to upload them eventually.

  • Nice! Step back a little more to sink your weight.

  • OMG! That's Pathetic!

  • OMG! YOU'RE PATHETIC!
