If the video of this song was about Julius Cesar crossing the Rubicon river in slow motion with his army in the back, well that'd have been extremely awesome.
@hujson77 Techno was conceived in Detroit and house music in Chicago. Ever heard of producers like Carl Craig, Jeff Mills, Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Mr. Fingers, DJ Pierre, Hyperactive, Joey Beltram, Derrick May, and DJ Rolando, to name a few? Ever heard of the Underground Resistance label out of Detroit? Don't try to brush off American producers when acts like Daft Punk would not exist if it weren't for Chicago house and Detroit techno artists.
@sjrasimons - just like soccer, there is no money in America for dance music. The closest most American youth have gotten to dance music is Lady Gaga (unfortunately). Furthermore, early house and its origin disco was dominated by America until it died in the 90's. It's funny that "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" is a Kanye song in America, and no one knows about Daft Punk, but American kids have their own music, and most of it involves instruments.
the americans, though definitely king at pretty much anything involving guitars suck at house, techno, really anything electronic. Leave it to the europeans
@sjrasimons its not just europeans, canada and america also have good producers. skrillex is a beast from America, and deadmau5 is LEGEND from Canada. also for french house louis la roche is amazing from Europe
@navynaveed123 Someone's a little butthurt. Well, if you name Skrillex and Deadmau5 and press them as talented musicians then you deserve nothing but scorn and contempt.
@SnookMouth Im not too sure about that, considering all the great stuff coming from France: Breakbot, Justice, Daft Punk and from Germany Booka Shade, Boys Noize, Belgium: Soulwax, 2many DJs, The Subs and others, I have yet to find an equivalent from the US. It was not intended as a bash and I do recognize US artists like indeed LCD soundsystem, but I still think Europe has the overwhelming majority in innovation in areas such as deep house, minimalism and electro.
