It would have nice if the Lakers faced the Jazz in 2000 West Finals. Because, Utah swept LA in 1998 and defeated them in five games in 1997.

Laker fans are too accustomed to winning...remember the 2000 championship season for the lakers was their first in 12 years..it took that long to rebuild a championship caliber team..the lakers this decade rebuilt quickly, it only took 6 years to win another ring after 2002..Laker fans are too spoiled, its gonna take some long winless years to make fans that rabid and energetic again

@solljuh during the start to the 2007-2008 season(i believe) the lakers started the season with a thing called "lights out".. it was a promotion that would turn off the house lights and brighten the court lights...it was marketed as a way to show the court as a stage and the players as performers...kinda like a concert effect...it worked so well & fans responded to it so it has been that way ever since
