hi no u haven't hacked your modem...

ADSL modems have USB and RJ42 just incase you dont have one or the other..

if you use the USB however the speed from and too the modem is slower. why ? well USB cant run as fast as RJ45.

and yes with any modem you can run them at the same time...

@44209david Sorry buddy, but there is no way USB or Ethernet is a bottleneck. Using either should have NO effect on connection speed. Latency perhaps (doubt it), but not speed. Even USB 1.1 is 12Mbps and would not limit a 10Mbps connection.

If you have a modem that supports USB connection and Ethernet (RJ-45) you can use both to connect to a pc. You didn't show anything else in the video that the modem was hacked. Also a connection via USB is slower versus RJ-45.

It's also better to test more than one location and try a different sife

I have one of this hacked modems working just fine here in the USA (on Comcast). Im going to South America in 2 weeks. Will the modem work overthere? or its just for comcast? I see it has a SNIFER function, will this "sniff" and find the config fles of the ISP in South America?

First off, this is not a hack. ~5mb/s + ~5mb/s = ~10mb/s, which is what you or your parents are paying for. I do appreciate the effort though.

TheOnlyDuST, your cable modem is made to do that no matter what you've read. Also, I hope you know that the connection from the internet to your modem is slower than that of the connection of the modem to the computer anyways, which is most likely 100mb/s, the speed of any common router. Btw, routers are much faster than ICS. Hardware vs. software.

my cable modem (Motorola SB5101) can do the same thing. altho it isnt made to do it. the machine on the usb connection is my web site and email server. that machine also uses ics to give internet to all the other machines in my house. then the enthernet line comes directly from my modem into my gaming computer (not through some dumb slow router... since the other machine is the router to my other computers) so its fast with very low pings :D :D
