Miami has changed A LOT since '87. At the 1st frame of Collins ave where Crockett & Tubbs arrive, the area used to be VERY run down and shanty-looking. Now it's all new fangled and spruced up. Not to mentioned, A HELL of a lot more crowded.
Another difference: Traffic lights used to hang vertically from wires, now they are bolted horizontally to steel poles! Trivial information, but just something I wanted to share anyways :-)
From 3.08 onwards is one of the epitomes of cool. The three guys just coolly walking in. I would love this music to play- LOUDLY- everytime I walked into a room.
awwww poor viggo! its so funny seeing him in an 80's show lol . but he was destined for bigger and better things, but it would happen about 15 years later.
Believe it or not, Camp Comedian Julian Clarey was also a member of Thinkman. I saw the original video to this song years ago. He's also in that video, along with the rest of the band.
I was wondering who all the actors were in the Thinkman video because they are all good looking guys and I wondered if they had any other success in acting or modeling. Too bad they kill Viggo and Phillips because they were really good in here. They could have had a South Dade Vice spin off show starring Viggo and Phillips. They could have replaced Zito with Viggo and Phillips when he got a big head and quit the show and that would have kept the series alive when Johnson's ego made him quit.
There are several people that do jan hammer cover songs and rick leon has made the song at the begining of this episode he calls it quitting time, you can download it at the jan hammer fan site along with other cover songs from different vice episodes
this episode has such a sad ending! Lou Diamond Phillips charactor in this was so awesome, why did they kill him off?

The song that plays at the begining is one of Jan Hammers never released Miami Vice songs, hopefully he will make a Complete collection vol 2
