yea its a great mobo, however now you can get better mobos, when i bought this there were only 2/3 choices for AM2+built motherboards, i had a very limited choice and this was the best one that didnt have crossfire-x
the motherboard is brilliant, stable with alot of nice features and more than enough peripheral cables, only if you wanted a B3 quad (9550/9750/9950) with the fixed L3 cache, you had to update the bios once for detection purpose, but is simple process and a great mobo
yeah, and if you do your reserch the "am3" processors will be compatible with the AM2+ boards, however the AM2+ boards will not have the DDR3 capabilities that the AM3 boards will have. however the CPU's will be EXACTLY the same, and you can plug them into either AM2+ or AM3 at no performance difference. only difference is the RAM TYPE =)
its a great CPU! it levles with and out performs the Q6600 intel equivelent which is more expensive
plus intel dont really have a quad core yet goolge for technical information
simpley the intels 4 cores dont talk to eachother, so its not a REAL quad-core design, its a cheep 2 duel-cores glued together
however the amd ones are TRUE quad-core design all 4 cores talk to eachother and operate better together plus loads of other stuff i dont have room 2 type lol
770 boards are nice ..stable and run cool, lots of optuions also-the big upgrade is the phnom 99++ series CPU

I just read they're ready with the 45nm 9750. 2mb L2 cache 6Mb of l3 cache =8 mbs of cache same speed but 95 watts. says it willk be out at 1h09

im alright without upgradeing for a bit thanks for the update.
but i also belive that that 45nm chipset is set for the socket 940 "AM3" chipset

there will be 2 versions, am2+ and am3

yea and DDR3 won't be necessary for a while, just like how when DDR2 first came out.

nice play

have you tire4d getting your north bridge(which is L3 cache)speed up to 2.4ghz ? you should see even more gains with it at core speeds.
golem72002 3 years ago
it is at 2.4ghz, thats the defult clock....

so you went for the 9750, I'm thinking of it too.

but the 9750 is amazing!
