Who would of thought I've ever say this but I am,.... that was the best 35 seconds of my life ;-)~~ <3 N Love to you Billy, You have a voice like no other simply brilliant..
Is this the mastering studio of the great Howie Weinberg, Billy's primary choice of mastering engineer throughout the Pumpkins first incarnation? The same Mr. Weinberg to whom I was referred by Chicago Recording Company (CRC) studios, where 'the Pumpkins I' did most of their tracking? This being from some bygone era. From a time when I actually created music, & was going to have Weinberg Mastering do my last album. The album that remains incomplete, thanks to life's ever-ready intervention.
the original sound was perfect. i hope they just get remastered a little, a bit louder maybe. good examples of remastering are the ac/dc releases regarding brilliance of sound and amplifying. and i really wish they put some rare stuff from siamese sessions or acoustic versions on the re-release.
....and i still wait for the day to spend my money on a sp cd containing jennifer ever and a good version of nothing and everything...
@headHunter241 I believe Billy learned that lesson with Machina I and the Zwan album. This is likely more akin to the Beatles' remasters - digital mastering has improved a hundred fold since the early 1990s.
@headHunter241 Yeah, I really hate how a lot of records are mastered these days, especially the CD format. With vinyl, it hasn't been as bad. But, some records are just so compressed that they clip and distort and sound awful. Siamese Dream was mastered really well the first time, so I hope they do the same care with all the remasters.
@fatcatbuzz Does Siamese even need a remaster? The answer . . . no. LOL. Some albums could use a nice remaster. Some great remasters include some of Joni Mitchells stuff and Talking Heads. But most remasters are just awful and should have never been done. IE: The new Smiths remasters :-(.

Hope this re-issue isn't a casulty of the loudness war. The production on the original is what makes it what it is.

@headHunter241 exactly. but, it kinda sounds like they're cleaning it up a bit. I dunno, we'll just have to wait and see.
MuzicLyricVideoz 9 months ago
@headHunter241 Bob Ludwig is doing it. He is known for protesting of the loudness wars and his moderate masters.
