I'm unable to add loops onto the RC-50 . dont know why. i've change the extension to .WAV and got the numbers right... but it just doesn;t seem to add loops/ wav files through. i'm able to delete stuff.. but unable to add stuff.. can anyone help?? please.
gEEEEEZ !! there went 4:19 outa my life that I'll never get back !!! I CANNOT unnastan these demos where the guy spends the whole time blabbing away about the features.. but NEVER DEMO'S the Goddang pedal!! Why oh WHY?? This is a
@SmallFish616 The Boomerang III Phrase sampler has four loops and overall, it has more looping features but there are other nice things about the Boss. Rthymns, more inputs and outputs, and it has enough buttons. The boomerang is extremely "cryptic" and difficult to use on the fly. and there is kinda no queing of recording tracks. Kinda sucks but I still like the boomerang more.
Great question. To the best of my knowledge, I would simply go from the 2 1/4 inch outputs on the gt.10 to the 2 1/4 inch inputs on the RC50. Plug your guitar into the gt.10, and control your master volume on the RC50. I'm positive this will work, but if not, hit me back. I'm happy to help.
Thanks. i havrnt got the rc50 yet hence my question. I need a really good looper and this seems to be ideal. I am off to a guitar store to try it out and I will get back to you. Thanks for your help. Ps just one more question by using an external memory card how long will I be able to loop? take care.
Hmmmmmm.... Interesting question. I've never used an external memory card. I know you can import samples to the RC50 using USB, but I'm not sure how that effects the over all sample time. I just plug my drum machine into the RC50 and take samples that way. It chews away at my overall memory though. If I did it in mono, I'd get twice as much sample time.. someday I'll get around to doing that. Sorry I can't fully answer your question. I do think you'll enjoy the RC50. Take care & keep in touch.
yeah like elmar said, its not the same thing, its an external effects loop, for connecting an external effects device to send/return and using it as a part of the gt8's effects... woo
can you use the expression pedal input for other connected midi devices, ie what seeting i can't figure it out the pedal i want to express is the Adrenalinn II
has anyone noticed that this looper wont catch and you have to play for another second when you lay down your first loop unless of of course ur first loop is silence with just the drums (which I never use) Please message me about this
unfortunately the midi sync sucks. In theory you could use an external midi clock. But when you use it, the tempo's start drifting a part after some minutes.
Using the RC-50 as the master clock works better though
"Tap tempo, you can change the speed of a phrase after you've recorded it" - Ya, technically you can, but its definitely not musical or useable... Even a change of 1 BPM causes severe warbling of the recorded loop.
MIDI sync to other devices (ie ableton live) is not useable.... And I don't know if it is a common problem, but I have a noise issue (a hum) when using both the main output, and sub output at the same time..
Other than those issues, it's a great pedal, and a wonderful writing tool.
No Problem, this'll work. I use the RC in combination with the Electribe and sometimes with ableton as well. Try to use the loopstation as master for MIDI sync.
yeah it's good - bought it in Feb. now (June) gigging solo...I midi it to a drum machine, use octave pedal for bass lines and play guitar on top..the tap tempo isn't great..It doesn't work as a midi "slave" very well but everything else is really good..cheers.
cool! what do you use for that? Is there anything I can program from my PC and upload to the RC-50, I find the drum loops are ok but without fill ins it's nothing more than a guide line as it says
Hey,you can record a sample from any music player as a phrase loop (rca jack) NAILdownbeat when it finishes.I'm starting to do that now so I don't need to bring my drum machine(or midi cables) to the gig.
You can upload any wave files from your computer to the rc-50. so if have original music, your own drum loops, bass lines playbacks and so on it's awesome. The best thing that you can send a click to your drummer and no click to your amp/mixer at the same time.
hi man where can i get the usb cable for the boss RC 50 please
thanks

so how do you have a distorted guitar and a clean drum beat on the rc 50.

why do the rc-2's never stay on perfect time?

@posiedonpowertrio
it's not the machine that doesn't stay on time. you gotta have extremely good timing to use it.

does it have the delay effect?
buttdread 2 years ago
The only effect (besides looping) is 'reverse.'
It's easy to run another effect processor through the RC50 though.

I know you can prerecord loops, but imho it seems to difficult to use.
Is this possible to use RC-50 with FCB1010 for example? (how)
So I would be able assign different loops/phrases (prerecorded) to this midicontroller from 1 to 10 and play them like I want.
Not just phrases 1-3 from RC. THanks

i have a boss gt-8, and it has a loop button, but i dont know how to use anything when looping. could anyone help me how to do it or tell me how.
gh3rckl3gend 2 years ago
@gh3rckl3gend: On the GT-5 "LOOP" means SEND/RETURN and is used to add external FX. Maybe its the same with the GT-8.

They both do completely different things. RC-50 is solely a Loop Station - And it's pretty much the best one out there for what it does.
The ME-70 has a Looping feature in it... but it's nowhere near the RC-50... probably closer to the RC-2, if that lol

audio out the sound card in the looper out the looper into your mixer!

I recently bought a Boss RC-50 Loopstation, a Boss Super Octave Pedal, a Korg Kaoss Pad 2, and a Shure SM58 Microphone.
I am a beatboxer/performer and I want to use these all together live on stage.
How do I do this?
For instance, what do I connect to what? In what order?
I basically want to do what Blake Lewis does live on stage.
If you can, make sure you check out his looping beatbox vids to make sure you understand what I'm asking
