@Inconvenientruths Detention centres are extremely costly. Community processing is much cheaper, if we closed down the centres and replaced them with community processing the money saved could be put into public housing for everyone. Helping Australia's homeless goes hand in hand with closing down the centres. And don't you believe in equality? People are equal - you simply can't say someones life is worth less purely because they were born in another country.
