well i think it would of lasted longer but my bov wasnt working so i was getting surge of 35 psi and i think tht why it smokes now. when my bov worked it gave me no prob and it pulled pretty hard .i have had the same prob with a garret turbo so i think its just the matter of having every thing set up right :)

hi i have a camaro my buddy has a 97 tsi he wants to upgrade i want to help him im not good with turbos what is the best way to get hp on a tsi and what turbo would u recomend ( not ebay shit) and how much boost do tsi push stock and how much will the turbo push and why dont u guys use watermethonal insted of a big aftercooler and do i have to change his stock waistegate to get more boost or can i put a boost controller on the stock one thanks

What fuel injectors / fuel managment are you using? As for the wastegate you should really have a vacume line from the manifold hooked to it. I would put the GM MAF close to the throttle body works better. I have a 92 TSI w/ Front mount, ported 14B (see how far i can push it :) ), AFPR, Boost controller, DSM Link, Hacked MAF, 3" Exhaust, 3" o2 housing, Atmosphere wastegate dump, 650cc Injectors.. Workin on 12's.

So, have you managed to run more than 10psi? I just sold my Ebay turbo kit and bought an Evo III "BIG" 16g turbo/Manifold/2g Install kit, and new 3in Apexi N1 Exhaust system. Im sure its gonna make much more power than the last kit. I want to see more vids of your setup. Let me know how its running too. Peace

Ive noticed that you dont have a hose hooked to the top piece of your Wastegate. Do you usually have that hose off or on? and if so.. do you hook it up to your turbo compressor housing? Call me noob :P but im learning :D thanks for your help.

ya i don have one at the top because i was jsut running the min boost of the wastegate spring i jus ran the hose from the bottom to the comressor .its set at 9 psi like

Hey, I have the exact same setup with MAFT. But im having a problem with my External Wastegate. Did you modify the turbo manifold for it to fit like that.( wastegate sits up and down. Not left to right like mine) Can you help me finish my project? my vacuum lines are all jacked. P.S. I have the t3/t4 manifold/turbo/wastegate from XSpower *ebay.

the headers are made for internal waste gate but i made it external by puting the wastegate on the down pipe flange :) this is an ebay set up too and works just fine let me knw if u have any more problems

dont buy that ebay shit either buy the good or youll be replacing your engine in about 5k miles especialy the boost controllers turbos will work fine they dont last long at all but the bovs and boost controllers are all shity fake nock offs turboxs is the major one to look out for and the greddt type bov i have seen the hks one work fine though..please take my word for it i have fixed mane cars from dumb cheap kids and performance shit ait cheap but WELL worth it and you will get more respect.

For some reason eclipses and talons are faster than hondas when they're turbo is it because the engine is a little bigger or because the "vtec" doesn't handle the boost?

because hondas are poop. everything about a honda is jus so dumb. the blocks are the weakest thing on the market and the compression is so high ur lucky to go anywhere boosted.... fuel economy cars are not meant to be fast

for some reason people make completely general statements and expect answers. first of all what the hell honda are you talking about. vtec doesnt have anything to do with handling boost and are we talking about a stock eclipse or one that runs 7s i meaan come onnn. some hondas have smaller engines than eclipses some have bigger engines.
